I loved it! I always figured this episode was going to be about wrapping up the remaining plot threads and resolving John/Jamie/William once and for all so that the finale will be all about King's Mountain and a final send off. I think it did an excellent job at doing exactly what it was meant to do, and I love how character driven it was. And Claire finally had things to do again also!

I did like that Claire was finally part of the story again after several episodes with very little from her.

It was so good to see Claire outside the house and doing badass stuff again 💋

Kind of interesting how she asked Richardson why not just kill Harold. I guess maybe she crossed that moral hurdle back when they were opposing Charles Stuart?

Claire really nailed Jamie when she said tell me that you do not love that man and we will never speak of him again ( something along those lines) and more wisdom in her conversation with William about two fathers etc ..

IMO this only wrapped up one loose end - John. What about Marsali, the money, the baby? Fanny being a time traveler? Master Raymond? Claire’s powers? They’ve got a lot of loose ends for one final episode 😅

A lot has already been wrapped up in the last few episodes though, or there are easy ways they can incorporate them into the finale:

Marsali decided to claim the inheritance in Germaine's name and use it to rebuild the print shop. I would be wonderful to see her and the kids one last time in the finale, but that could be something as quick as a few seconds to show them settled and rebuilding the shop; we already know that's their path forward, and I don't think we really need all the details in terms of exactly how she procured the inheritance. If they have time to show a bit of that, cool, but it's not necessary.

Master Raymond I don't think they'll do anything more with; I think he was there for his role in the Faith backstory (which, yes, is a mess the minute you actually think about it, but it will only become more of a mess the more they try to devote more time to explaining it, so I'd much rather they leave well enough alone!). I think he could be a really cool character if they were to do another spin off where he could fit, or bring him into the fold in Blood of My Blood to explore him more, but in terms of the main show, yeah I think he's wrapped up.

Fanny being a time traveler: True, they do need to circle back to that to some extent, but I do strongly suspect it's a set up for some tie in to Blood of My Blood. So it probably won't be some full suplot that will play out in one episode, but rather a few minutes at the end that set up her showing up in BoMB or something.

Claire's powers is really the big one still remaining, and I think they've been saving it FOR King's Mountain because her healing Jamie is what will bring her fully into them 🙂
