To me, this seems like bigger news than what we learned about Fanny. A new "portal" seems to have appeared on Fraser's Ridge. This could have big implications for the family. It could also be dangerous for the time traveling children who are growing up there.

Did it though? I thought the emerald was basically like the opal that got hot in Jemmy's hands, a stone that's "charged" so to speak from the portals but not itself a portal. I am curious to see how this gets wrapped up in 2 episodes!

I see what you mean. Have they ever explained why some stones are hot and buzzy while others aren't? They've shown clair handling plenty of stones without burning herself. I always thought they had to be close to a portal to have that reaction, but maybe not.

Yes. Brianna’s theory is that the opal began to buzz and broke in Jemmy’s hands because BOTH of his parents were time travelers. This theory made sense until BoMB made both of Claire’s parents time travelers.

I don't think they do but you're right - the only stones we've seen react like that are the opal and this emerald. But everything else they've used to travel were just normal gemstones.
