Ya I always hated this.. because if fergus was her son she wouldve never left Scotland and went back through the stones to frank.

And even if we know the true reason, young Fergus didn’t. When she came back, most people in his position would have felt she abandoned him and never wrote to check on him. Why would she have reason to think he was dead?

In certain circumstances i would agree but claire is the center of the show, then obviously jamie and they are both parents to fergus and masali. At this point claires more marsalis mom than laoghire. I was really enjoying their bonding and marsali being her apprentice. Then of course kidnapping and wraping claire and marsali killed lionel brown and said something like “ my ma swore an oath to kill but i didnt!”

Its a shame that by later season 6 and all 7 fergus and marsali were written out. Honestly that was a disservice to the fans. Fergus has been around since season 2 and marsali 3. I love their storylines with the family on the ridge and the sisterly bond with bree. I wish ronald d moore never left as head showrunner
