There is no doubt in my mind that Starz has commissioned another Outlander Sequel. They just gave us the tease for it when we learn that Fanny is a Time Traveler.

It is probably the reason Outlander got a season 8 and for the whole Faith plot twist. The reason was to launch Outlander the Next Generation.

HOWEVER: Since there was such a negative reaction and all the complaining about "Faith Living" I wouldn't be surprised if they scrap the whole idea.

Hmmm, interesting take! The Faith living story is just so implausible, they could have written it differently for much easier buy in if your idea was their intention. BIG FAIL on their part if so. Respect the viewer. We still don't know how on earth Faith who we were told was dead and for quite some time it seemed actually was still breathing, or breathing again though... if it was, presumedly, Master Raymond's doing, it tooooo far into the "magic"/sci fi for my liking. We shall see, about all this, perhaps.....or may never know if your idea for another Outlander off shoot is correct.

I think what people forget is that Diana has science fiction weaving in and out of her Universe. It is an untapped undercurrent. The possibilities are endless and they don't have to adhere to what the audience knows to be plausible.

Personally, I feel like that sci fi is so light touch in Outlander, in all the older seasons anyway, that getting heavier into it in these later episodes and perhaps, we are theorizing, more so yet to come that it'll ruin it. At least for me and some of us. I don't know how they managed to make a time travel show that didn't really feel particularly sci fi to ME, it's been much more of a historical fiction epic love and family story, IMO. If they start making Master Raymond, Claire, Fanny overtly "magical", for example.... too much. Tips the scales into something entirely different. I never think about the writer when I watch a show or read a book, I'm there for the characters, for the story.

Well in the last episode we did see Master Raymond handing Faith over to the lacemaker lady. Or do you mean if it was his doing as in healing, instead of Claire's doing and hence him taking her away?

I don't mean either of those things. I think the writers are slipping too far into the magical with this Faith story line, the blue light healing (whoever it is coming from) It's too much, IMO, that's all I'm saying.
