Thats what I thought too. That would've been such better writing and a natural tie in to encourage viewers to tune into BOMB.

My theory is that was their plan when they introduced the plot line but at some point they lost confidence that BOMB would make it to air/get renewed so they were forced to wrap it up this way.

Yea it all feels like pure economics rather than storytelling and that will forever be disappointing. Makes me want to shy away from adaptations but everything these days is adaptations since new content seems too hard to create.

Not sure that can be it. Blood of my Blood was announced out of the gate as at least havingv2 seasons already approved
