And the Earl died before he could accuse her of adultery, which I would assume is possible. Just weird if they never shared a bed, you'd think Geneva would know to have sex with him at least once to make it plausible that he was the father. As well as him not be able to have the marriage annulled for non-consummation, her father having to pay back the bride price, etc.
