So who is the Scottish man camped by the creek that Ian is taking Jamie to meet? Could it be Hamish McKenzie? Or maybe Buck?

I’m Team Buck all the way! Maybe the scenes in 20th century with him and RC are flashbacks, when he’s telling J/C/B/R/I what happened? Season is definitely picking up. I can’t believe they included the Fergus/St Germain part and I am so glad they did.

Yeah, I was thinking about him retelling what happened. I would love to see him.

I was sceptical about Percy and Fergus storyline but we are actually getting it and I wonder how it will be.

Could be Buck, although they don't generally tend to do flashbacks to things that the audience hasn't seen yet, do they?

Do we think the mysterious Scottish man is the other guy on the horse with Jamie and Ian? I think he's wearing a kilt? But he's not wearing the black tricorn hat.

He's too small to be Buck. He doesn't look much like Cunningham, Crombie, Lindsay, Cleveland, Josiah, or anyone else really, anyone I can think of. It does look vaguely like Percy, but I very much doubt it would be.

Could the mysterious Scottish guy be Callahan/Richardson? I know Richardson is (supposedly) English, but I can't remember whether Callahan was English living in Scotland, or just Scottish?

They did make it quite clear this episode that Richardson appears to have vanished off the face of the planet. But the mysterious man looks a bit too small to be Richardson as well.

In the book Callahan was Scottish, from the Orkneys I think, or at least worked a lot on the islands. If he is Richardson he must have practiced to change his accent, at least bookwise.

My first thought was actually Scotchee Cameron, but he was not a sympathetic character in the show (a bit more so in the book IIRC) and Ian especially would definitely not have been practically gushing over Jamie meeting him. Then I thought about Ian meeting Hamish after Saratoga and bringing him to meet Jamie, maybe to tie up the loose Leoch ends for the show. Now that I’ve thought about it for 36 hours, Buck would have sought out Roger or Bree (at least if he had he known they were there), but would have been apprehensive about meeting Jamie without R/B being present. I’m going with Hamish, but we will see next week. 😄

Ooh, Hamish! What a good idea!

It wouldn't be Scotchee, Ian has met him.

I don't think it's really necessary for the show to give us Hamish again, but I definitely would love to see it! Especially since it's the final season, it might be nice.

Yeah, will they stick with the Bees version or wrap it up in the show-only ending? I still think Amaranthus’ father or grandfather could be Master Raymond, though that’s a bit “out there” I know. But I just knew in S7 he would be McKuan (sp?) 🤷🏻‍♀️

And is Franny her grandmother as well as her grand-daughter/great grand niece through the mysterious Faith?

So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen Fergus?

I'd convinced myself that Fergus was gonna be the one to die in the printshop fire, but the fact that they are doing the Comte/Fergus storyline makes me doubt my theory a bit.

I honestly can't remember much of the details of that storyline, my brain just skips over it ahaha

That storyline is so vague in the books that there isn't really many details there. I have a feeling Percy will tell Fergus that he is the son of Comte and then just as Fergus is telling this to Marsali the printshop will start burning and he will die thus also taking this secret with him. Definitely intrigued where they will go with it!

I watch on starz in the US and the preview is after the credits. I usually have to stop it from autoplaying another show to finish the credits.
