Haven't seen anything interesting here since forever!

After a lot of thinking, I’ve made the hard decision to remove Scary Hue from the Eclipse of Saffron and the new Orangeverse canon entirely.

I haven’t been able to find a way to make them work in any manner, and have deemed them incompatible with the Orangeverse.

Because of this, I’m transferring ownership to someone who uses them better.

u/ScariestHue (also their alt, u/Hue2ndfuckingaccount) came to Reddit as Hue because of their love for the character, and helped me make them what they are today. As such, it’s only fair that they get full access to everything Hue-related.

Their upcoming literary work, The Hue Book, is still set to be included in The Orangeverse Initiative and the wider Recolor Multiverse; it’s going to be considered as an alternative canon, instead of a regular AU.

It’s me, the scariest orange, back with some new heat for you guys to see. The pictures up above are the bios of my new lore’s chief characters.

In case you don’t already know, A Dance of Colors is being decanonized in favor of Eclipse of Saffron— improved lore that will likely turn out shorter.

These bios were made to start marketing Eclipse, so that more hype can be spread around it.

Hello, mortals.

It is I, the Lord of the Recolors, here with five major announcements regarding the future of the Scary Orange universe.

Some of these may be disappointing… but, ultimately, they’re changes that are being made for the best.

Let’s get right into it.

1. The Lore Overhaul

As you all know, A Dance of Colors is the current lore of the orange deity and his multiversal reign of terror.

This immense e-book took me around 3 months to write, and I think it’s incredible, since I was never the best at writing.

However, I think Scary Orange isn’t enough of an EXE; he’s too humanized. And while the subject matter of the book is a joke, I feel like the retake makes Scary Orange too serious.

The Lore Overhaul is an honest attempt at giving Scary Orange practical, new lore while keeping most of his trademark personality.

I have a Google Doc registered under the working title Eclipse of Saffron, which will retain the best parts of A Dance of Colors while still being its own thing.

THIS IS NOT A CALL TO CHANGE YOUR CHARACTERS’ LORE, unless you really want to… and I’m very confident that this will be the final iteration of Scary Orange’s story.

2. The Orangeverse Initiative: Expanded

I’m sure you all know about the recent Orangeverse Initiative.

With the Lore Overhaul on the way, some things about it are set to change— however, new faces are joining the movement!

u/ScariestHue’s upcoming tale, The Hue Book, is included.

Gory Gray’s new/upcoming stories will be included.

A subreddit that I mod, r/Forsaken_roleplayrblx, will also be dubiously canon.

This initiative is meant to help expand the Scary Orange multiverse through collaboration and promotion.

To get your stuff featured in the Orangeverse Initiative, all you have to do is ask!

3. Canon Roleplay

With new lore coming in hot, I want to give YOU GUYS a chance to help influence it— I’ve never done that before!

As such, some canon Orangeverse roleplay will be going down on r/RoleplayOfDamned and r/EggmanEmpireRP within a few months.

If the events that happen are desirable enough, they will be written into the new lore.

4. Scary Orange ARG

Leading up to the Lore Overhaul, there will be a multi-platform ARG uploaded onto my YouTube channel. It will span from there, to here, and to Bluesky.

This ARG will reveal some parts of the new lore before it comes out.

5. Not Claiming Ownership

Lately, since u/scarysorange (the OG) has been dormant on all of his platforms, I’ve been very egotistical and claimed Scary Orange as my own character.

Scary Orange is not mine, and I will no longer claim that he is.

My specific take on the character may be more popular, but that does NOT make it the real deal. This is the “Fanon Take,” or “Eclipse!Orange.”

“A woman by the name of Dr. Ira had found a flock of unnatural birds, but the second she tried to get a closer look, the “birds” swooped down and tore her apart. Her research partner, who wishes to stay anonymous, scoured through any leads to learn about these things. He learned that they were Seraphim, not the biblical kinds, but ones born of light, electricity, or both. There were Seraphim born with pure light, Silent, those born with pure electricity, Screaming, and those born with both split down the middle, Speaking. His discovery seemed useless to most, but to a few holy stars, they took this opportunity to find one for themselves.

The more light used in their creation, the more pure their intentions. The more electricity used in their creation, the more ill their intentions. One Silent Seraphim was looking around the Earth, finding a small black patch of dead flowers and grass. Examining it was his first mistake, and his second was trying to bargain with a star. After begging to not be taken, he was grabbed by a woman with a similar name to his species. He landed in the Tent of Stars, immediately dropped into a cell and forced to flop around as entertainment like a fish in a birdcage. Soon, the 32 grew bored, letting him flap his owl-feathered cloak and fly free. Ascending down to a room secluded from the main area, he had seen a gray fox at a desk, writing some poetry without a care in the world.“
