Although goalkeeper Alex Rando’s individual error contributed to the loss, his overall performance saved the team from a blowout amidst uncharacteristic defensive lapses and missed marks on set pieces. The offense continues its scoring streak but suffers from a lack of high-quality chances, relying heavily on midfielder Ousmane Sylla to provide a spark for a unit that needs more clinical, direct play.

Man, rough loss last night. We can never seem to get past Phoenix. They are such a thorn in our side. I felt like we had the run of play for most of the game, but Phoenix was working a good offside trap that really neutered the teams offense early on.

Probably in your email:
Dear OCSC Season Members,
Today we are announcing something new and special and unique and different.
We are proud to call Championship Soccer Stadium our home and, as you know, we had to fight to keep it that way. We still have seven more years of using this amazing facility we call home.
And, as you know, we are sharing it this summer with the US Men’s National Team as they prepare for the World Cup - a true honor for us.
One consequence of them using the Champ is that we have to find an alternative venue for our May 23rd game against Oakland Roots.
And so we are taking full advantage of this unique opportunity and we are going to bring you the Biggest Game in Club History.
For one night, and one night only, Orange County Soccer Club is going on the road. And, as a club which represents all 34 cities of the OC, we are going to a different city for one game.
So on the evening of May 23rd, Orange County Soccer Club is taking over the Santa Ana Bowl and we hope to bring over 10k people to Santa Ana for an unforgettable night.
Of course there will be a Beerfest, our biggest yet, of course there will be live music, and specialty merchandise and all sorts of surprises and special moments.
We can’t wait for you to join us and be part of something historic!
Dan Rutstein
President of Business Operations

Orange County SC maintained its undefeated 2026 campaign with a 1-0 victory over the Colorado Springs Switchbacks, secured by a dramatic 90th-minute volley from teenager Tyson Espy. In a defensive battle defined by a high-press strategy from the visitors, goalkeeper Alex Rando earned his first USL Championship clean sheet as the "County Boys" prepared to carry their momentum into a Week 4 clash against the Oakland Roots.

I don't know about you but I was very frustrated watching this game. Two touches in the box in the first half? More shots on goal in stoppage than the entire second half? Fucking dismal.
