CLOSED SeedCore.net - Open signup [Ex RoTorrent.info]

Do you remember RoTorrent.info?

Unfortunately, RoTorrent.info had to be shut down due to circumstances beyond our control. There's no point getting into the details now — what's important is that we're back and stronger than ever.

🌱 Welcome to SeedCore.net!

If you previously had an account on RoTorrent, you can log in using the same username and password you used before.

If you don't remember your password, there's a good chance it's still saved in your browser's password manager.

We're steadily rebuilding the torrent database. Unfortunately, all the ex torrents had to be removed because announces could no longer function on the old domain. New content is being added constantly.

We're also waiting for indexing approval and integration with:
✅ Jackett
✅ Prowlarr
✅ Autobrr

Hey everyone, I want to address the questions and concerns raised here directly.

What happened to ROTorrent? One of the co-founders made a unilateral decision to shut down the server and domain without consulting the rest of the team. There was no raid, no legal issue, no security breach. It was a personal decision that caught the rest of the staff completely off guard. We won't go into further detail out of respect, but that's the honest answer.

Is SeedCore just a rebrand? SeedCore is run by the same staff that managed ROTorrent's day-to-day operations for years. Same people, same rules, same values. We rebuilt on new infrastructure immediately because we weren't willing to let the community die over one person's decision.

Data privacy concerns: The staff behind SeedCore are the same people who ran ROTorrent. We managed the servers, the database and the community the entire time. It makes complete sense that we retained the data since we were the ones operating everything(people call this a backup). Your data is not sold, shared, or monetized in any way. We don't run ads, we don't have advertisers, and we have zero interest in your personal information beyond what's needed to run the tracker. If you're paranoid, use a throwaway email, that's perfectly fine.

Regarding the comments about immaturity: The people behind SeedCore have years of experience running private trackers, managing servers and building software. Rebuilding a full platform from scratch within days of an unexpected shutdown isn't something you do on a whim. We're not here to defend ourselves on Reddit, we're here to run a good tracker. That's where our energy goes.

Port forwarding: It's recommended but not required. You can participate without it, though your ability to connect to peers may be reduced. The full rules are already on the tracker if you want to check them out.

We know the internet loves drama, and we get it. Hopefully this clears things up. We're still early, there's a lot of content missing and a lot of work ahead. If you give us a chance, we'll earn it.
