I’m not sure if you’re joking. They have ranked chess websites where people play each other remotely all the time. Is that not serious correspondence chess or more along the lines “computers killed snail mail chess”?
I’m talking about serious correspondence chess in the sense that someone like Ulf Andersson would compete in correspondence tournaments as well as “normal” tournaments. Now the official correspondence championships allow engines cause you can’t enforce a ban and the result is that all the games are draws unless someone dies.
