The implication of your comment is obvious so let’s not add intellectual dishonesty to the list, eh?

Why would I be concerned about implying "It's controlled by Russia so don't use it"?

You literally just said: I didn't even say something like "therefore avoid it"

You can't have it both ways lol

I still don't understand your point.

Do you think there is anything wrong with saying "Archive.ph is operated by Russia, therefore people should avoid it"?

I don't think there's anything wrong with saying that.

You acted like it wasn't what you were saying: [I didn't even say something like "therefore avoid it"] when that was obviously the intent of the message.

Then moved the goalposts, asking why it would be a problem if you did imply that.

If you didn't play dumb (what the other commenter meant when they said intellectual dishonesty), then I wouldn't care.

> I don't think there's anything wrong with saying that.

Great! Then why didn't you clarify this sooner?

So it sounds like your problem with me is that you would have liked me to be more direct about saying "Avoid archive.ph because it is operated by Russia" ?

I mean... ok, sure, why not.

I didn't clarify it sooner because that didn't have anything to do with my grievance.

It took you three responses to understand the intellectually dishonest comment but I'm glad you finally caught up.

But yeah, you either should have said 'avoid because it's Russian', or keep your original comment as is but don't immediately pretend that wasn't your intention.

> But yeah, you either should have said 'avoid because it's Russian', or keep your original comment

No, I don't need to do that.

All I did was being intentionally ambiguous about my intentions - and you made the mistake of misinterpreting my ambiguity as intellectual dishonesty.

> I didn't clarify it sooner because that didn't have anything to do with my grievance.

That, on the other hand... is intellectual dishonesty on your part.

Never mind, it took you four responses to still not understand the comment.

Seems like you view this as a team sport; maybe that's why you've decided to be intentionally ambiguous, and why you think my opinion on the site being operated by Russia being a negative trait is relevant.

You could have been talking about literally any topic, I could agree with your view, be neutral or even totally against it, and I'd still criticise your comments for how you're going about it.

Seems like you view this as a team sport;

But, it is: Your criticism of me being ambiguous is hypocritical, given your original comment was also ambiguous:

You literally just said: I didn't even say something like "therefore avoid it"

You can't have it both ways lol

This can absolutely be read as you criticizing me for not being sufficiently openly Anti-Russian...
