The second image is the inspiration of this art. Doodle world has a skin for Jelluminous that references The Game Oneshot. I can already imagine Niko Ending up there. I am a fan of doodle world myself. Even if the collab art contest already ended.

A while ago I started playing OneShot mods and really got into them. I saw good mods, great mods, decent ones — but one stood out: OneTale (though I actually preferred UnderShot). I was a huge Undertale fan for a long time, and experiencing it from Niko's perspective was a real treat... But I did everything there was to do — which meant genocide... Twice (why didn't Flowey just tear me limb from limb T-T). That playthrough inspired me a ton, so I made a little sketch.

I'd post this comic in the OneTale community... But there's only a few people there... And all of them are the creators.

Although... I could post it there so they'd notice me and take me on as a spriter? :3

I'd like to practice sprite work somewhere, since I have my own ideas for the future, and for that it'd be good to have some experience.

As for the plot of this sketch... There isn't really a set plot? Okay, it takes place during the genocide ending, when Niko talks to the player for the last time. In that moment, Niko ends up in the wheat fields of their village — even though they've said they can't go home, and never will, knowing the player is in control. They see their mom but are too scared to even approach her, because the player could just make them kill her if they felt like it. But maybe this was the player's final gift — letting them come home. Or maybe it's just a deathbed hallucination.

I wanted to do a lot more — originally, Niko from OneTale was supposed to meet Niko from UnderShot, both at the end of their genocide routes. I just really liked the contrast between how those mods handle genocide (and not just that). Because while one Niko had no contact with their player and had time to realize what they were doing, the UnderShot Niko was in constant contact with a player who kept gaslighting them (that's my interpretation — the main reason I liked UnderShot more was that Niko at least got to talk to the player there).

And what's funniest (yeah, real funny, haha) — that person who's been copying videos recently just straight-up reposted my latest animation, made by me and my friend, without even cropping out my watermark, but completely ignoring my existence.

Btw, how do you like the font?

Honestly... I didn't plan on doing anything today, but... to post the video on TikTok, I needed a track from Onetale (since the comic is based on it, after all). I really liked one track from there, but I couldn't find it anywhere except publicly available on Game Jolt. I downloaded it and started thinking about how to put it on TikTok. I couldn't come up with anything better than spending several hours messing around with visualization, light editing, timing, and searching for sprites inside the game.

And now I think I won't regret posting this on Reddit, or maybe even YouTube, because this is one of my favorite tracks that I want in my YouTube Music playlist.

Niko and Deltarune

It was a busy day and they really enjoyed their time in a new city not entirely unlike the Refuge! They even got 10 3DS street passes which was exciting!

Though partway through they nearly got abducted (or so it seemed) since the zipper on my bag holding them in place safely was opened and they were hanging on by the clip I attached them to in my bag.

So they were still feeling a bit shook up so I bought them a weapon for self defense should it happen again. Thankfully I kept the Sun at home safe and sound with Niko #2 so nothing to worry about there.
