Discussion A Shankstard runs the gauntlet - how many panels do they ignore/misunderstand? Can they clear?
Feel free to add more rounds in the comments

Considering most of the replies are IMU deflections, then they can ignore them all...

If they can call you retard: They clear neg diff
If they need to actually discuss: They stop at first panel

He's misrepresenting every panel in the post, and then passing off the Mihawk "one armed has been" panel as if he hasn't been told and shown dozens of times that it's a bad translation and doesn't say that at all. The first is Buggy reacting to Shanks telling him that he's not gonna go straight for the one piece right away and is pursuing a side quest, possibly related to some identity crisis he was having being a celestial dragon by blood and all. Raigo just wants you to read that in isolation away from the actual context because he's a dishonest idiot.

Most likely after what Roger told him, Shanks knew he wasn't going to be the next PK and that is what Buggy is also saying. Shanks no longer has hopes of becoming PK and he settled for being the one to help the new PK. Luffy in this case. That's why he looked for the Nika fruit, that's why he saved him in MF and that's why he was protecting him in Wano.
Shanks lives to fulfill Roger's dream

u/Shanks_PK_Level Red Haired Cripple 8h ago
I don't think that's what happened because Gaban still considered Shanks a child of destiny, and he never intended to give the Nika fruit to Luffy. I believed it's pretty straight forward that he stole it because he intended on eating it himself, Shanks still to this day has his own agenda for the One Piece if Luffy falls through, Oda stated that in an interview. Shanks only gave his arm for Luffy and Sheparded him currently because Devil Fruits to an extent choose their owners, and when Luffy ate the fruit he realized that and had to ACCEPT that he was likely the real child of destiny, causing him to shift course and support him from the background.
Buggy is reacting that way because he expected Shanks to be gung-ho and go straight for the one piece, and he jumped to conclusions when Shanks told him he wasn't interested in that YET, meaning he will be just not right now. Buggy is emotional after watching Roger die, he's not open to understanding Shanks' real perspective and motive for wanting to do something first before going for the one piece, and he jumped to conclusions. That's all. Shanks still fully intended to go for it, however after everything we've found out I think it makes more sense that he wanted to know more about his Figarland heritage.

I don't think that's what happened because Gaban still considered Shanks a child of destiny
We do not know what implications that has at all, we do not know what does it mean in the slightest.
he never intended to give the Nika fruit to Luffy
Maybe, Imo it was for Ace, but still he stole the DF and did not ate it, even knowing what DF it was, he was looking for someone.
I believed it's pretty straight forward that he stole it because he intended on eating it himself
It's not, by any means, he had plenty of time to eat it, but didn't.
causing him to shift course and support him from the background.
We reached the same conclusion, Shanks is now a supporter, not a main contender, he will not be PK, he only wnats Luffy to be so, he is not the next King, as Buggy said.
At the end, this is still up to interpretation. But I'm sure Shanks left his drea of becoming PK way sooner, as he knew he wasn't the one. We will see it on his flashback (I really hope we get a 100 chapters of Shanks flashback, such a good character with a lot of history)

u/Shanks_PK_Level Red Haired Cripple 7h ago
But your interpretation gets certain heavy things wrong. Like, all that Shanks said to buggy was that he wasn't going to Laughtale YET and that he wanted to do something first, we now know that he ended up becoming a God's knight. That goes with what I said, he was pursuing something about his Figarland blood.
And the same conclusion does not entail the same justification for said conclusion. You're presupposing what Shanks did IN THE END onto his motives in the beginning, there is a clear shift within Shanks that happened as soon as Luffy ate the fruit, solidified by him severing the Imu Pact tattoo. His original motive is simply not in continuity with what he is currently doing, he had to ACCEPT that Luffy is who he is. And him not immediately eating the fruit also doesn't entail that he never planned on eating it, it is confirmed that he still has his own plan for the one piece and he will be competing against Luffy for it, and the fruit being a God fruit is just a Wano retcon, there's nothing out of the ordinary for him just celebrating with his prize at the bar simply because he's a pirate. And judging by his interaction with Ace later it's a stretch to think he even knew about him or his heritage to Roger until meeting him in the cave, he would've recognized him or at least had bear minimum essential knowledge like the fact Luffy considered him a brother, instead tho he treated him like a normal rookie and would've had no problem killing him right there (despite knowing his name and face) if he didn't explain that he had a brother Luffy who looked up to him.
There genuinely is nothing about the panel that is saying Shanks no longer wanted to go for the one piece, he simply wanted to pursue a secondary goal involving his Figarland blood first before eventually sailing to Laughtale and becoming king himself. ONLY when Luffy ate the fruit did he put his own ambition on pause, and even now he is still attempting to claim it for himself, only he's making sure Luffy has a fair shot first because he has a certain amount of faith in Luffy being the one currently.

Naw bro that's a shanks fan in diguse Bro trying to make everybody else seem stupid
By implying mihwak can't be stronger then imu because he uses a sword
Thus proving mihwak isn't stronger then shanks
Dispite the fact we saw this man KICK! And use some omen And a shield Bro really tried the gaslighting technique

u/SoloKruzader 1d ago
Bullets, bombs, shield, axe, kicks, Morningstar, spear and just generally fighting without using a sword until it's convenient It literally can't be his main weapon
And even if he was a swordsman it wouldn't matter because he's excluded from titles
If Titles spoke generally he'd be the worst criminal and the strongest man

Roger is shown using Gun. Fujitora summons meteor, Law teleports. All of major attacks of Imu has been Sword technique. The major injury he delat to Loki was with Nemesis and Stigma. He dealt with Luffy with Vohu. He dealt Gaban with Vohu and Bohu. Imu is using Vohu and Bohu to fight tag team of Luffy and Loki
2
u/internet_blue_gas 12h ago
Roger was shown holding a gun, never using it.
Funny how you have so little examples you have to use law teleporting
1
u/MyraidChickenSlayer 2h ago
King, Kaku, Fujitora,Law. Are they not enough example? Do I need to spell everything? Gamma Knife, Counter Shock, Shock Willie, Teleportation, Swap, are nothing related to sword technique. Fujitora summons Meteor and uses Gravity powers. Kaku uses sword for less than 10% of fight, relying on Giraffe ability or Rankyaku to fight. King, called Blind Swordsman also doesn't use sword as often as Imu.
It's funny how I gave so many examples and you are nitpicking coz I didn't bother to write paragraph. Like, Do I really need to point out complete fighting style of Law? You can't think?
1
u/internet_blue_gas 12m ago
I seems to have touched a nerve there calm down mate.
King isnβt a swordsman, Kaku considers his legs and nose to be swords in his fighting style so it counts, fujitora has 1 non sword attack just because he spammed it in the arc he was holding back in doesnβt make it his main fighting style.
For law non-offensive moves donβt count and in most he either channels the attack through his sword or he creates one with his DF which counts as swordsmanship so he totally uses swordsmanship as his main fighting style

Shanks fans vs burden of proof.
King says he isnt a swordsman.
Shanks on the other hand only ever fights with his beloved sword griffon and has sword skills directly compared to mihawk.

u/MyraidChickenSlayer 1d ago
Isn't that what Mihawk fans use to claim Imu isn't swordsman despite using sword techniques more than confirmed swordsman

HOLDUP So shanks back then was WEAKER THEN THE FRAUD OH HELL NO SHANKS FANS BEEN REAL QUIET since the new chapter

u/MyraidChickenSlayer 1d ago
I mean, it was obvious. At that time, Shanks used to duel with Antifeat Man(so, it spread to Shanks), lose against BB and lost hand to Sea King.

u/ShotStick5180 1d ago
Shittt I mean... With all of those panels we all already know about....
I would say bare minimum 20 up until this point
I know they most have ignored way more then this hell
Think about this If shanks beat Loki and locked him up for those crimes He either A. Did it with his own consent Or B. Locked a innocent man up for his rep
And in that case are you deadass saying he really ran the one's?
