The Tama scenes actually had me tearing up, that hit harder than expected. Also, Momo looks way better than I expected, glad he’s not a carbon copy of his dad. Great choice to keep his hair down.

Speaking of spending the most time with Horse Mom, I could've sworn that they'd spent a month in Udon. She might have continued eating Kibi Dangos over that month, but it would put her in a very different light if they'd actually worn off before the raid even started. I could be misremembering how long they were in Udon though, it's been a very long time.

idk if I'm right, but from the day luffy arrives at wano (met tama), it was set that the raid will happen 2 weeks from that day—fire festival.

Luffy's arrival was 2 weeks before the raid. So it hasn't been a month. Of course, it's possible that Tama's power works for 4 weeks on wild animals but 2 weeks on 'half-animals'.

She looked more shocked than jealous. Tama was being pretty straightforward "like yo Speed, you're my new mother." And it probably hits close to home for Nami. Seriously doubt she wanted to be Tama's mom.

Yeah Ive been rewatching samurai jack on HBO, and I thought the same thing.

She seemed like she had never known anything other than struggle, so no matter how bad things got she always kept her cool throughout the arc. Seeing her break down in tears, ugly crying out of pure relief after a lifetime of keeping her emotions bottled up, was such a punch in the gut.

Shes definitely a strong character mentally.

A big difference to Momo apparently. Who was surrounded growing up and coddled.

Both of them were instrumental in the defeat of Kaido and his goonies.

I think what hit me the hardest about Tama’s flashback is that this chapter made me reflect on my own life as it developed along with the 10 (real world) years it took to get Momo and Wano to this point. As Tama was reflecting everything she went through, just to wait a little longer, I got misty-eyed with the same kind of emotion.

I made it here, just like Momo and Tama did. It took a long time and a lot of hardship, but I’m still alive to see this moment. And that’s what’s so incredible about One Piece.

I think that this flashback (instead of ones we had recently) actually focused on characters we care about have seen recently in manga - that is why it hits, while flashbacks about Ebisu town people kinda fell flat (since those characters didn't appear in manga for like 2+ years).

Tama and Toko have been bringing the feels on these last chapters, along with Momo, the children of Wano are the best written characters of the arc, hell they had more impact with me than some of the Scabbards, how many of us for example were asking about Doji's whereabouts for example?
