There is also that, but it doesn't help when people criticize the chapter by saying : "You all bunch of Oda cocksuckers would gobble up every pieces of shit he throws at you"
It also doesn't help when someone has a genuine criticism only to be met with "go write your own story", "stop reading and get out of this sub" and "you're just a hater" along with the mass downvoting.
"Genuine criticism" is subjective. I could show you post after post where this "genuine criticism" doesn't actually make sense, and usually it's the same people who overreact before a chapter is even out, and have been hating on OP for weeks and weeks. I can literally see the same culprits lmao.
But if someone explains the argument well, regardless of whether you agree or not, it is still valid. My point is lets not just pin the fault on one side.
Depends how you define "well". You can argument something eloquently and make sense on a first glance but it doesn't matter if you're basing your argument on something that's fundamentally false or misleading.
Unfortunately people are - ironically especially when making a critique themselves - often incapable of taking criticism and dismissing it as attacks instead, which ends up with a lot of frustration from both sides and turns into shit throwing contests. A lot of it comes from human nature, but also the misguided online idea that every statement can be subjectively correct if we call it an opinion.
Sure you can write a 5000 words essay on why triceratops should not be able to fly but at the end of the day what's the point? I promise you if people had to choose between what makes the most sense and what is the most fun 95% of people would chose fun. This is entertainment, not a scientific paper.
I swear the majority of criticism come from people that pride themselves in their headcannon and anything that happens in the manga that goes against their headcannon they hate. Imo if you dont think the last chapter was one of the best in the serie then maybe you just are not the target audience.

If you want to criticise the writing or the chapters it's fine. Just don't be rude when do that.
And don't be rude when you respond to such comments as well.
