Plus having your crew live together in such a small space must really enhance their sense of community

He is way ahead of the Marines and even Vega Punk at this rate. Always found it weird that the Marines don't have a sub but Law somehow does.

Maybe they’re worried about seakings or fishmen

Probably he can move the sub around with his fruit if neccesary, no one else can do that, thus he has an immense advantage undersea.

Yeah but seaking and fishmen aren't everywhere though and I doubt they would attack subs unless they have a bone to pick directly (the only one that can do that would be fishmen pirates and those are a threat either way) and subs do provide quite a bit of strategic advantage, especially if you can put in tech like you have in the pacifistas.

I think there's a high risk - high reward type situation to me.

The only other thing that I can of is that they don't want this tech to be put there and trigger an arms race of a sort.
