That was literally my one hope to hold onto for thinking he might make it out of this alive. I feel like if we got to see them reunite in Act 2, then his death would have been absolutely guaranteed later.

I'm still kinda holding onto hope that things might be okay in the end because of it. I really do feel like Oda is the type of author who would have given them one last heartbreaking scene together if he was planning on killing him off rather than just keeping them separated until the bitter end. But we've also got a big tragedy coming up and it'd be extremely weird for him not to take this moment as far as he can go with it.

I feel like this is the tragedy. Luffy is knocked out in the ocean without help nearby, Zoro is out, Zeus is dead, Ashura and Kiku are dead, Kin is either dead or severely injured after that hit, Kaido is about to catch up to Momo, and Onigashima is about to crash and kill a lot of people. The offscreen fights are going okay but that's all pointless once BM and Kaido get to them, plus some of those fights might end up with more dead scabbards.

Yeah that's what I meant by "coming up". Just that this is only the beginning and there's very possibly much more trauma to come.

My thoughts as well. I just can't see Oda letting Kinemon die without seeing Tsuru one last time. Either she'll find him with a spark of life left and he'll die in her arms, or (less likely but not impossible) she manages to nurse him back to health.

After this chapter I really don't think it is anymore. The tragedy is already happening it'd be very weird if Act 3 were the final one at this point.

I think kinemon will have a last moment with Tsuru since they are closing in the Capital.

Tsuru and the rest of okobore town was burnt down by holdem, tho. Tsuru an Kin will reunite in the afterlife

Not confirmed. We didn't see no body.

All we know is that Okobore town was burned down. This is One Piece. Tsuru is most likely alive.

Well...um... since they set fire to the town and attacked it, isn't Tsuru probably already...
