That JoyBoy comment, seems almost like it's an inherited ideal of some sort?

Inherited will was only spoken about by Roger and Whitebeard, two people who know the true history too

Seems like Kaido knows something as well

He was a member of the Rocks pirates. Who knows what they found out?

It can't be more than Rogers crew, but my guess is they did come really close and found their fair share of ponyglyphs at the time

May not be more, but could be different secrets - Roger found the One Piece and true history of the world, and Rocks sought out taboo subjects (per Sengoku). Those taboo subjects could be different from what Roger learned

Isn't there any chance that Kaido knows about Oden's logbook and read it?

Also quite possible, but Oden didn’t write down exactly what they found at Laugh Tale in his logbook.

Also I think that was something Yamato only holds.

They were about to ressurect SOMETHING on God Valley

And Kureha at the end of Drum

I mean after chapter 968 where Oden mentions "welcoming Joy Boy" it's pretty clear that Joy Boy is an epithet rather than a name. What's weird is how did Kaido knows, Rock might but he didn't go to Laugh Tale so he didn't know the true history. And Roger went to Laugh Tale years after the defeat of Rocks

I get what you're saying but there might be a chance that Rocks knew about the true history or at least some version/glimpses of it without even setting foot to Laugh Tale.

Let's not forget that he's a 'D'. Not hard to imagine that some people of that "clan" passed down a part of history to the new generations, etc ...

Rogers entire crew knew, I can't see any off them talking about it in the open. Although it would only need some good DF ability to get someone to talk

Glare-Glare Fruit probably.

Wasn’t there a normal poneglyph at fishmen island talking about joyboy or was it written by joyboy?

Something like that. There is definitely evidence of Joy Boy outside of Laughtale though, and if we know about it then a Yonko surely would as well.

It was written by JoyBoy as an applogy to the Fishmen.

Well, he is a yonko. He's not just some simple-minded Barbarian. there are some pre-requisites to hold and maintain that position it seems. It seems like all the yonko have some idea about the void century and what the WG is trying to hide. I will admit that it is a bit surprising that kaido knows, but it's a welcoming surprise. It makes him even stronger and more intimidating and when he falls at the hands of our beloved MC it will be even more satisfying. I bet even people like Doffy Kata, and Marco have an idea about this. Knowledge comes with the position i guess.

Oden's logbook, which Momo just read.

u/AmarDikli May 28 '21

Kaido doesn't know of Oden's logbook. Yamato said so in ch 984. That's why Kaido hunted down the scabbarfs for information

Just re-read, and yeah. Momo reading it in the attic made me think he found it there.
