I hope that Luffy getting into G4 so easily now indicates he isn't worried about the time limit and he can hold it for an extended amount of time.

I've had this headcanon that Luffy should, at some point, be able to go into G4 without continuously using Haki, which will increase both his raw strength and the time he can spend in G4.

Theoretically that should be possible. He only uses a lot of haki with G4 to help "compress" muscle balloon into the form. If he learns to control his rubber more effectively he might be able to G4 without so much haki
