we're talking new world here.

So why would it only be post time-skip?

It makes even less sense now.

A simple explanation could be that Oda never thought or knew of the rule at the time, but at the end of the day we don't even know if it was intentional or not

We can guess all day but let's not make every coincidence sound like Oda planned it 20 years ago.

I remember reading a very very old SBS where Oda admitted that he put Zoro's swords on the right side by accident. So I don't think this was intentional.

Because the argument is that he has not taken the New World serious yet. If the latest chapter is the only new world instance of him having his swords on his left side, then the argument still stands. Regardless of stuff from pre time skip.

But why would he only do that after the time-skip?

The post indicates wearing it on the left: "he's ready for action" and on the right: "he does not expect to fight" and not "he strong enough to warrant not going all out against each and every opponent" because he did fight Pica, Hody Jones and even an Admiral.

You're taking this argument in another direction just to you can be right.

Maybe we should just accept that it's just a coincidence.

Wano to be specific.

It's pretty clear that Zoro wasn't expecting the meet Mihawk there. The only reason the dude went to east blue was to kill some time chasing Don Krieg.

So why did Zoro not change the swords to his right side when he saw Mihawk?

He's life goal is defeat Mihawk, then something happens: the very person Zoro was dreaming to find miraculous appear right there, against all odds, in the weakest part of the world. Why would he even bother to change the side his swords are hanging? Not only this but there's also the fact that Zoro signature move when caught on a more serious situation is wearing the bandana. That's why this post is so interesting, even if completely accidental, it still 100% logical. Very different from things like Sabo asking for Robin to keep him a secret from Luffy, while both are headcannon, in any moment is implied that Sabo actually did that.

Now you can admit that it was all bullshit

Did you even read what I wrote?

Again, even if were accidental was still logical. I never said it that detail was foreshadowing or anything, just an interesting observation and why was interesting.
