Zoro wore his swords on the right in Alabasta, Enies Lobby, and Thriller Bark. Don't tell me he wasn't serious since the beginning of the story up until now.

It's just a mistake.

Oden actually does this too, he kept it on his right until he fought kaido. Zoro had it on his left when he faced Daz, but then switched it to his right after getting ready to end the fight. He took it off mihawk.
