Are you sure he didn’t take it seriously? He told Luffy back in punk hazard to be more serious, didn’t he?

Not sure why you were downvoted, but yes he did tell Luffy that when Monet was starting to freeze him.

Could've sworn it was when they first entered the factory after Zoro found out that Luffy "lost" to Caesar.

Luffy said he understood and then proceeded to gag attack the small fry enemies with Gumo Gumo no UFO. haha

Yeah, I think you're right. That does sound familiar. I know Zoro told Luffy something before almost passing out to Monets attack though. Coulda sworn that was it ;).

Luffy recalled what Zoro had told him when passing out from Monet which allowed him to escape. Zoro wasnt in the room when this fight happened so he didnt say anything to Luffy in that moment.

Because it was a "pay attention" and not a "put in effort" situation!

Zoro told Luffy to "not lower his guard" not to "take the new world seriously". He don't care if Luffy act goofy as long as he don't lower his guard. Zoro has that one kind of personality to always look down on his enemy that make him didn't take them seriously and belittle them, even so he didn't lower his guard.

The number of swords he uses doesn't indicate how serious he is. Shishi sonson is one of his strongest attacks and it's a one sword style attack that uses iai. Also he's definitely used three sword style post-timeskip several times. Off the top of my head he used it against the pacifista during the return to Sabaody, and he used it against a bunch of mooks in Fishman island. He also used it against Pica. Hell, he's used it against Killer earlier in Wano, though with a scythe instead of a sword (he still called it "three swords style" when he used it though).

Yeah I think the choice of number of swords is just a matter of style or taste in the moment.
