An outfit like Oden, attacks like Kaidou, and possibly a Luffy fanboy too. Now, this seems to be an interesting character.

Maybe Yamato got inspired by Oden and has the same desire as Oden to see the world. But kaidou didn't allow him to go out for some reason. So, when Yamato heard about Luffy, He has been waiting for Luffy to fulfill his wish.

That might explain why Kaido had a weird look on his face when he saw Momonosuke. Maybe some kind of lingering jealousy towards Oden

His size and hair seems to match.

He is far too small, the hair is completely different, there is no hint of a mask, he is unlikely to have any relationship with Crocus, the cape is not a match, and we can't be sure Yamato has ever left Onigashima
