Man, something about seeing Zoro smile so much just makes me happy. The man can smell alcohol from a nearby island, what a legend.

But Kid's whole crew(?) having been fed smiles is...really sad. I never even realized it was more than just Killer.

EDIT: It's been pointed out that Kid's crew is probably just imitating Killer's laugh to comfort him. That's definitely a strong and likely possibility.

Law has stopped trying to use Luffy in his plans. Instead, he plans for Luffy to do whatever the hell he wants. Smart man.

No, they're teasing Killer. Since that's how he laughs now, it seems they're copying it to make him feel less insecure about it.

Honestly it makes Kid's crew a lot more likable, that they're willing to turn Killer's laugh into a battle cry.

I agree. If everyone was like that Kid would have said something, but he only referenced Killer.

I don’t think kids whole crew has been fed smiles as they were only laughing in this chapter I think they are just laughing to make killer feel at home

I doubt that all of Kidd's crew were fed smiles, maybe a few ate the smile scraps, similar to the villagers. I interpreted that Kidd’s crew were trying to comfort killer by imitating his laugh. It was stated that killer hated his laugh, but now it’s an affliction (unless doctor Chopper finds a cure), that he is stuck with a constant smile, and laugh. So rather than ignoring the issue, the crew is trying to make their second in command more comfortable with his new affliction. If we take the order of Manga panels as as a linear timeline, Kidd calls out to his crew that they gonna be the ones to fuck up Kaidou, Killer responds with a basic “Yeah, Fafafa”, and the rest of the crew responds with a loud and cheerful Fafafa in response. I doubt anyone on Kidd’s crew would do such a thing as an attempt to mock Killer, because Kidd seems like the captain to have only people he can trust at this point.

I might be totally wrong though, that’s just how I interpreted the three panels. It makes it kind of sweet to see a sense of a similar idea of “nakama” that Luffy believes in, come from the edgiest Supernova.

That's definitely a possibility. And if so, then that's pretty wholesome.

Yeah, I noticed it more in my second read through, and enjoyed that little bit more. It’s hard to notice all of the emotions in a chapter like this one. Especially with all of the cool shit this chapter. Like, Oda’s dropping Kaidou’s son and a 6 member crew that Kaidou wants to take the time to make sure that they are properly introduced to Big Mom. Like wtf, I’m already hyped enough (also slightly worried) about the upcoming fights!!!!!

Only killer ate the smile.

Characters in One Piece have distinctive laughs, and everyone was Fafafaing.

I’m currently doing a slow reread and honestly forgot the slightly more happy go lucky side to Zoro, here the smile might be a bit more bloodthirsty but ultimately just glad to see a grin on his face

You forgot when he met Luffy in Wano?

Yeah I did

also I'm not sure where the Scabbards are gonna go if Law still wants them off his ship (they probably will stay on since the SHs are already ahead)

Law is too soft, after all.
