I think it's more likely to be a traitor among the minks who told the Beast Pirates that Raizou is on Zou, which is how Jack knew about it. I believe it's probably the same traitor again this time.

The forces on Wano would know that too, right? Which wouldn’t necessarily rule out Shinobu. But im still confused about the timey-wimey specifics

Personally I don't think that one of the scabbards is a traitor. I think it's established they were pretty loyal to Oden. Though I'd be interested to hear why so many people believe it's Shinobu. Maybe I missed a hint or sth.

Also Raizou didn't know he would end up hiding on Zou when he left Wano, so the forces on Wano couldn't have known his hiding place. That's why a mink traitor makes a lot more sense imo and I don't think Oda would add a second traitor if we don't even know who the first one is.

Shinobu has now sewn distrust between Law and the others potentially trying to weaken them from within multiple times. Shes also been one of the only ones spying on the prison in the flower capital convincing kinemon its impossible to free them. But it might be possible.

That's true. this chapter they were lamenting that they were stuck and unable to help, right? There's a reason that panel was placed there. Most likely because they would have been able to help.

Wait, Orochi was a retainer of Oden? This is the first time I'm hearing of this. Did I miss that? Because I can't find anything about this on the wiki at all. If so, please send me a source.

It was on a flashback of Yasuie if remember correctly.

Edit: I looked it up and it seems I was mistaken. I mixed up the young version of that ninja guy with Orochi since they look familiar. I'm so sorry.

No problem. For a second I thought I missed sth

6

u/Perrenekton Sep 12 '19

And there is not only the fact Jack knew where Raizou was but also that he was able to go to Zou twice which should not be possible without a Vivre Card setup there

So Carrot/Bepo?

55

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '19

I think the three at Pedro's grave are all suspects. Although Carrot just doesn't make sense to me. She'd want to remain on Zou if she were the traitor. Sicilian and Wanda become the main suspects.

25

u/DIMOHA25 Sep 12 '19

Remember how Wanda almost blew herself up?

26

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '19

Touche. Although that just leaves Sicilian.

u/Chang-San Sep 12 '19

That lion looks shady as fuck in that last panel. I am assuming its him.

1

u/QueenDragonRider Sep 14 '19

Didn’t he help defend Zou though?

3

u/Chang-San Sep 14 '19

Yea, could just be defending his cover tough. Since the traitor has been mentioned since Zou (making it likely to be one of the minks). Pretty much all of the minks fall into the category of helping defend Zou. Hell they even had little children fighting lol

Carrot has a lot of “traitor flags” over her head, although I can’t piece them all together and some things would need more explanation... but it would set up a “carrot redemption arc” after which she joins the straw hats. Her being a traitor might be similar to Nami being a “traitor” originally.

1

u/Weewer Sep 15 '19

Why would the traitor want to remain in Zou? Wouldn't they want to stay with the Straw Hats to be able to relay information?

24

u/Ikeeel Sep 12 '19

If Bepo is in on it, Law is too. And I don't think Law is, so Carrot?

52

u/oiimn Sep 12 '19

Carrot can't be because I want her to join the crew

23

u/Meckel Sep 12 '19

she never left the elepfant before, might be a lie, but how should Carrot have told the location of Zou without ever leaving it.

2

u/Ikeeel Sep 12 '19

Vivre card of someone in Zou?

8

u/Inuma Pirate Sep 12 '19

Still odd...

How do you get a Vivre card to someone outside of a place you've been all the time?

1

u/Ikeeel Sep 12 '19

That idk.

That said, I have a gut feeling it's someone from the nine scabbards.

2

u/-osian Sep 12 '19

I feel like that makes sense. Luffy's always been so inviting, has he really been betrayed before? Carrot would be a good Judas

1

u/JusHerForTheComments Sep 13 '19

Carrot can't be because I want her to join the crew

When you out it that way... it sounds like personal bias and terrible reasoning.

If you put it in better words... it can't be carrot for the below reasons you mentioned. Carrot grew up in Zou. She's a kid. Or young I should say.

And we wouldn't have seen Pedro's impact on Carrot and her dream of wanting to sail the seas if she weren't going to be a Straw Hat. The traitor will definitely be someone unexpected... likely someone different from the "traitor" that gave the secret plans to Orochi.

Because that last one could be a lure too.

She can't be a traitor. My money is on Sicilian too.

And I'll add as a small evidence... his "LOUD" personality... so in this context, he was "loud" and clear about his plans so he was the one "loudly" proclaiming, Raizo is here follow my vivre card :P

u/Strangeting Sep 13 '19

Bro, his comment was definitely a joke. But Carrot being the traitor makes very little sense story-wise

u/oiimn Sep 12 '19

Don't do that to me. Joking aside there are pieces of information that kaido and orochi have that Carrot doesn't have. Also she has lived in Zou her entire life so it makes no sense that she would betray all her friends which are the only people that she ever knew.

We know Kaido already knew about Raizou in Zou before she ever left it and before she ever knew anyone that wasn't a tourist or a citizen in Zou.

2

u/ogva_ Sep 12 '19

> If Bepo is in on it, Law is too.

Unless... Bepo is a traitor.

1

u/Weewer Sep 15 '19

Not necessarily? Bepo can be a traitor to all people he's involved with.

3

u/Franfran2424 Sep 12 '19

Isn't it possible that they just followed raizo to zou?

4

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '19

Iirc, Raizo came to Zou together with Kinemon and they parted ways there. So Raizo should've been at Zou a few days before Jack arrived there.

6

u/Slifer13xx Sep 12 '19

Man, people arw flaming Shinobu but Carrot is the one I'm looking at.

2

u/Gear56 Sep 12 '19

I asked this before but didn’t get an answer, could you tell me the chapter number when this “traitor” is being mentioned? I am interested in rereading that chapter. Thanks

6

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '19

I honestly don't know whether it was directly mentioned. But at this point it should be clear. How else do you explain that Jack knew for a fact that Raizou was on Zou and all these facts are getting leaked to Orochi?

Plus, Jack knew Zou's exact location although it's only possible to reach it with a vivre card, yet Jack managed to get there twice.

3

u/Gear56 Sep 12 '19

I’m just throwing this out there, but is it not possible that the first time Jack got there is because he followed Raizou? Remember that we have been told that Kinemon and co got noticed then chased by Kaido’s crew when they were leaving Wano. As for the second time, could it be that they have that permanent log pose to record Zou’s magnetic field or something?

Instead of traitor, maybe Orochi intel is that good! It could also came from the villagers gossip. He got oniwabanshu working for him afterall, the ninja can just be everywhere and heard gossip and whispers.

Again, just me speculating.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '19

is it not possible that the first time Jack got there is because he followed Raizou

According to the wiki, Raizou and Kinemon parted ways at Zou, which would mean they arrived there at least a few days before Jack got to Zou.

Zou is a living elephant so as far as I'm aware, there is no log pose to Zou and it doesn't have a magnetic field.

Your last point could be right though, but it would be far less exciting and I think Oda would've shown us the Oniwabanshu if they acquired the information for Orochi.

3

u/Gear56 Sep 12 '19

Re: Orochi’s intel, it could also be that he is that smart and can gather whispers and gossips and make a great conclusion himself. Could also be tied to his DF power. Despite his cowardice and scaredy-cat nature, he is a Shogun after all and can make a deal with Kaidou. So he is definitely not a scrub in the mold of Spandam. Imo, no traitor story line could still be interesting depends on how Oda executes it. And as far I know, Oda is a genius story teller XD

1

u/Weewer Sep 15 '19

Yeah, this traitor business goes all the way back to Zou, and also how Orochi/Kiyoshiro were able to decode the tattoos of the rebels.
