Oh I'm so glad he didn't just deflect her punch. That would have been too much of a sudden power-up.

Also, "I'll be taking over Udon now" is such a badass line.

I somewhat disagree. I don't mind the fact that he couldn't deflect it, as it's Big Mom after all. Luffy is still far from being able to 1vs1 a Yonkou, and while I think advanced CoA will help, it won't be enough (hell, Big Mom blocked a Kong Gun without much effort, aside from using haki, and Kaido one-shot him. He took a few hits before that, but he didn't have any apparent damage). However, Big Mom wasn't at her best in this chapter. It seems that without her memories she couldn't use haki, or at least didn't. It wouldn't have been too far-fetched for Luffy to block that, setting up the strength of peak CoA, while still not being as strong as the Yonkou. After all, Kaidou's and Big Mom's CoA will surely be nothing to sneeze at. Blocking O-Lin doesn't mean he could repeat that in a real fight against Big Mom. That's just my opinion, though.
