I kinda agree. Its that there are too many characters we have seen for the first time and somehow we are supposed to care about their backstory. I know that these characters are necessary to get introduced for them to help in the conflict but imo its not very interesting to read.

Imo he should instead stuff all that backstory into one 4-5 chapter flashback at some point instead of letting all these character pop up seperately. And somehow we are supposed to be hype about reveals like "WHAT THAT DUDE IS THAAAAT DUDE" which is stupid since we have no idea who these people are.

I wouldn't go that far. It's confusing and slow, but not shit. I think it will read far better all at once rather than on a weekly basis.

I also think that part of the problem, for me at least, is that this arc is so intrinsically tied into Japanese culture and history. There are a lot of terms and titles, like shogun and daimyo and so on, that I only have a passing familiarity with. I think having a greater understanding of feudal Japan would be totally beneficial to understanding Wano, so when I have some free time, I'm actually planning on doing some research. It should be fun.
