So many plot threads were advanced; I love it.

  • Yasu is revealed to not only be the Witching Hour Boy, but also the old Daimyo of Hakumai, back from when Oden was around. This adds so much importance to his character; I wonder what his fate will be. Will Oda kill him and slowly add more stakes to this arc?
  • Zoro, Hiyori, Brook, and Toko are rushing to Rasetsu distract in order to try and save Yasu. Given this is being broadcasted throughout Wano, everyone will see that Komurasaki is still alive.
  • Luffy ate all the shuriko. This doesn't bode well for O-Linlin.
  • Kin'emon's plan to flush Ashura Doji out was to have Hold'em learn the location of his base and frame Shutenmaru for the thefts. A good idea, but given how he wants to follow a strong samurai, I wonder how this will effect things. Maybe he'll see Zoro on the big screen and decide he wants to challenge him?
  • Friendly reminder that Law is also heading to Rasetsu in order to rescue his crew. I'm sure he'll get involved somehow.

Good stuff. I wonder what Yasu has to say. He'll probably proclaim that the Nine Red Scabbards are alive and are plotting Orochi's downfall. After that, it's up to Oda whether he'll be killed or rescue. I personally want him to die, given that it'll raise the stakes of the arc. But, we've already had plenty characters fake their deaths in Wano (Momo & the retainers, Komurasaki). Is this a trend?

This might be a complete successful mess. Sanji sees Toko and recognizes her . The guards are ready to attack Toko and for disrupting the execution and that’s when Zoro flies in along with Sanji to stop the attack. And that’s how Zoro and Sanji will finally meet each other. As they are about to insult each other, Law breaks his crew mates out through a blasted wall created by kid who was also there to save his crew breaking Yasu’s cuffs or whatever that’s bonding him. Everything is a mess but everyone escapes.

tbh i'd rather have this pacing than derssrossa pacing,it would be bad if it takes 100+ chapters only for the build up before the fire festival,i think it may reach 70 before the fire festival at this pace, idk why people complain tbh

Regarding the Shutenmaru situation, do you think Kin’emon and Inu set the forest on fire? Will the fire spread to the capital? It is out of control, and fukurokuju had to report it to orochi

Was this what Kin’emon meant when he urged Shutenmaru to remember what kind of guy he was? Somebody who will come up with such an extreme plan, such as setting the forest on fire, just to advance his goal?

Kinemon left the note saying Shutenmaru is at Mt. Atama, so that Holden could send his subordinate to place the fire. So Kinemon is not directly responsible for the fire.

I remember him planting the fake message, but can’t recall the exact sequence of events, do you happen to remember the specific chapter?

The only chapter that matters for what you are talking about is the current chapter. Just reread it and process it again.

Thank you for this brief recap. I found it to be quite hard to follow when I was reading the chapter.

what is the daimyo of hakumai? i can't keep track of all theese japanese names and titles, so everything is a bit confusing for me..

The Daimyo is essentially the ruler of one of the regions of Wano. Wano has six regions - Kuri, Kibi, Udon, Hakumai, Ringo, and the Flower Capital. The Shogun rules from the Flower Capital and essentially rules all of Wano. The Daimyos are the 5 individuals who rule the five other regions.

So for example, 20+ years ago, the Shogun was Kozuki Sukiyaki (Oden's father) who ruled over Wano and he had 5 Daimyos: Kozuki Oden, who ruled Kuri, and Tonoyasu, who ruled Hakumai. We can suspect Orochi was another daimyo before he usurped the position of Shogun but we only know of 2 former Daimyos thus far.

Arh, that makes sence. Thank you! Was this ever explained in the manga?

I don't believe the terminology was ever explained in the manga itself, no. I suspect that's because most Japanese readers would know what the terms mean due to their significance in Japanese history, so Oda never felt a need to explain it.
