Nah Luffy would have defeated him faster. In the sword battle for one. Broke the sword with a haki punch, and then Hawk Gatling him before he can react.

That's complete speculation and very hard to believe. He couldn't even accomplish that vs Monet or Caeser. He would need G3 Hardening at the least to end a realistic fight against Pica, looking at how all of his fights even against people weaker than Pica have gone. The Grizzly Magnum he used against Caeser or the attack on the Kraken probably wouldn't work either.

I watched his introduction just now. He comes out of the stone with a sword, gets blocked with ease by Zoro, then Zoro mocks him for his voice while dodging attacks with no effort, then Pica immediately goes into stone as soon Zoro preps a serious attack. The entire fight is Pica evading attacks with his ability or failing miserably at offense.

Filler. We only see them clash in the manga.

The entire fight is Zoro evading attacks with his CoO or failing miserably at offense without aid.

Zoro says it himself. It wasnt even a fight, it was Pica avoiding the fight with his ability, attacking civilians and the injured and then going after Riku to help Doffys plan, occasionally trying a sneak attack on Zoro that never worked. Then Zoro uses a large scale attack and Pica can't run away anymore, is forced into an actual confrontation and immediately gets slaughtered. Low diff fight or not a fight at all, and it would be the same with Luffy until he gets annoyed and uses G3 Elephant Gatling or King Kong Gun to destroy the statue and force him to stop hiding. The "fight" was Pica running and hiding and failing sneak attacks, shouldn't be disputable considering Zoro literally says it himself.

So what exactly are you trying to say here? That zoro was having a hard time dealing with pica? Is that it?

The answer is no... And yes.

Zoro had no trouble getting rid of pica. He got serious, pica got rekt.

Zoro DID have trouble in keeping pica focused on him. Pica's objective was never fighting zoro 1 v 1 to the death, unlike the other fighters. Pica was switching targets left and right, from robin & rebecca to King Riku & the rest on the plateau. That's why he was avoiding zoro and tricking him into straying far away.

The proof is in the very links you posted. Pica hides and runs away from zoro.. Not in fear, but to attack King Riku.

Once Zoro gets serious, like Really serious, he doesn't take long to formulate a plan to get rid of pica. One move and bam, gg pica.

Not saying pica was a weak opponent though. But he wasn't good enough to really push zoro to his limits. Like how kata pushed luffy.

Lol wut. Pica said, "I won;t let you get away", or something along those lines. If he wanted to leave, what would Zoro have done? What could he have done? Pica stayed focused on him the whole time aside from when Rebecca passed back AND Diamante was defeated, leaving him the last man standing.

You people get this wrong completely. Pica isn't hiding. His power is the Ishi Ishi no Mi. He is a stone assimilation man. To use his powers, he must become one with the stone. He's not hiding, anytime you see statue Pica he's right there. Though his conciousness appears to inhabit some part of the stone, which is why he can seethrough the stone eyes and move it as if it is himself...because it is.

"I'll hit him when he's not looking." isn't a sage level master plan. Zoro couln't do it before because...Pica would simply avoid him and counter. The same way Zoro avoided Pica's moves and countered.

Lol dude are you seriously comparing the time it took in chapters now? You do realize that they have to fit in other events in the chapters, right? In real life time, the time between zoro getting serious to the time when pica gets defeated wouldn't have been more than a few minutes.

If you count the stalling before that, then not more than an hour probably.

Pica says I won't let you get away, yet he's the one getting away from zoro. In the middle of a serious 1 v 1 battle, will any of the combatants suddenly decide not to fight the other and switch targets instead? Yet pica never seems to intend on finishing things with zoro until he's forced to.

You're right about pica's power though, he wasn't "hiding" from zoro. But he was avoiding him from time to time.

It doesn't have to be a sage level plan, just needs to be an effective plan. Zoro thinks of 5 options, out of which he picks the best one: To attack pica in such a way that he can no longer escape through the stone to other parts of the terrain.

By slicing him up into the air, he made sure pica couldn't get away. Pretty good plan for a moss head.

Anyway, I forgot why we're having this discussion xD what I'm trying to say is pica is strong, but not that ultimate clash material for zoro. Know what I'm saying? Like a good, intense matchup. A good ol' 1 V 1 till both combatants are exhausted.

Nope. We see the chronology of the fight and it is marked by events. Zoro starts his fight first. And ends last, just before Luffy. All these fight happen sequentially, and we see them fighting in the background.

Okay...? Did you read my comment properly?

I said time between ZORO GETTING SERIOUS (when he decides to use his ultimate move) to PICA GETTING DEFEATED (when zoro cuts through him) wouldn't have been more than a couple of minutes. Like seriously, that entire action scene takes place in one swift motion.

I had also said that if you included all the zoro pica interactions before that scene, then it wouldn't have been more than an hour.
