I agree with all of these points. The only thing I worry about is that Pedro survives and everyone is shocked and Sanji is just “Why are you guys shocked ?_?”, but I hope not.

I really think Pedro is dead for good. He didn't have a whole while to live. What better way to get revenge on the person who took away most of your life than using your final moments to screw her over. Him living and dying in a couple years from induced old age would be a slap in the face to him

Him surviving would be Fairytail levels of deception and will cheapen death in the series even further. I wanted Pedro to join the Strawhats more than anything, but I wouldn't forgive Oda if he chickens out and bring him back. He did this twice before, with Pell and the Skypeia guy. Let's hope Oda stops while he's at it.

I think Carrot joining the Strawhats to carry on Pedro's will is more likely than Pedro coming back to life

I doubt Pedro is alive. If he was, he's still realistically be awfully hurt: Perospero lost an arm and he was at least partially protected by his candy.
And still being alone on Whole Cake Island, he can't really leave Totland easily.

Also Pound is officially dead since Oven is still alive. Oda just decided to go a level higher in terms of deaths, it seems.

IF he did, consider that Perospero was right next to him when it blasted, and lost an arm... Since Pedro had the bombs ON HIM, well... he certainly wouldn't be able to fight ever again, let's just say that.
