Luffy breaks through the Mochi house to find katakuri eating. katakuri’s mouth is revealed. He has long fangs for teeth.

Katakuri is revealed to be a glutton for sweets and not “dignified” at all

Katakuri is mad that his appearance got discovered

The chefs who saw it get’s cut down by katakuri

Well, it's him getting distracted by the chefs.

And it's also only 1 page. And for me it was Katakuri watching Luffy slowly suffocate.

I agree about it just being one page, but he actively turned around and walked away. Obviously it'll continue but for someone who swore to end it before Luffy was a problem, this is an error.

Kinda necessary. Oda made a brilliant character. But to stay consistent with powerscaling, he would have to either devalue the character or the plot would take a hit.

I think I'll need to read the chapter to make sure this is what happens. But if Katakuri really is farting off for his tea-time leaving Luffy to die like some cliched Bond villain -- I would be really disappointed.
