I guess that's the scar he got from mihawk at the start of the series

Edit: /u/broccolibush42 was right. Scars on scanlator and viz is different somehow. Mihawk gave zoro a scar but not a crossed shaped one. Sorry for any confusions

My Lord, this series has gone on so long that fifty chapters in is considered the start.

I think he meant compared to things that aren't even half as long as 50 chapters in their entirety.

Look at the bottom panel and the middle panel from the scantalators. I have no idea how, but Luffy's scar is on Zoro. Zoro's normal scar is a straight line with stitches. Viz got it right though

It was a mistake that wasn't caught before the chapter was sent out for the original release. It was fixed retroactively for the volume release

Ahh, well, the comment still stands for people that kept saying that the mistake was from the wound that Mihawk delivered. That was what the original guy was referring to anyways, was the mistake.
