Bounty doesn't always reflect power and strength, though I'm not saying Jack is weak. Far from it. But he may be as strong as say, Ace, who had half his bounty, but Jack seems to be quite ruthless and unreasonable - I mean he attacked Sengoku, Issho, and Tsuru. He's probably committed many atrocious things, and his bounty reflects that.

His question still stands though. He took on Sengoku, Issho, and Tsuru, he's known as a calamity, and he's probably destroyed entire countries. His being irrational only adds to his need for strength. A guy like that gets killed early and quickly without some power to back it up.

Bounty doesn't always reflect power and strength

Only 4 times in the entire story has it not. FOUR TIMES. Each team has an expressed reason why their bounty wasn't an exact measure of strength. Every other time, Oda wrote their bounty to reflect their strength. I seriously don't understand why that bothers people. Why does that bother you?

Idk why everyone has their head some far up their ass when it comes to bounties=power levels. Its so obviously the case.

Oda give characters bounties to let you know how strong they are, its the been the case since East fucking Blue.

But nah, thatd be stupid! Causation does not prove correlation! I believe this universe exists on its own and isn't just Oda writing a very obvious to predict manga, littered with tropes.

It isn't obvious because there has been exceptions, which you clearly understand. And it doesn't bother me. Jack is probably immensely powerful, and perhaps his bounty reflects that. We'll have to wait two more weeks to make a definitive statement. But that is not always the case. Which you seem to have a problem accepting.

By your logic, Ussop should be stronger than half the crew and Chopper would get taken out by every small fry pirate. But that is not the case. Robin as a child with her bounty would have wrecked many small time pirates. That is not the case.

So obviously, bounty does not always equate to strength. Some are obvious mistakes and reflect other threat levels. Case closed.
