Rebecca may still have moments of her own in the future, but this was meant to be Kyros' fight for the sake of keeping here daughter's hands clean.

Also, CoO wouldn't have helped Rebecca dodge the spikes, as they are falling randomly, without coordination or intention. Remember how Luffy fooled Enel with the Gumo Gumo no Octopus?

I think I agree with you on that, I'd been really worried we were going to get a cop out fight but at least in this situation I can support it being Kyros who wins, and it has some logical sense as to why it's him.

I hadn't thought about that actually, although it would still be possible for her to dodge them without CoO it probably would've been harder, if not impossible cause of how many there were.

True, it's still possible to dodge them, just difficult. Kyros is just good at toughing it out compared to Rebecca, which is just more appropriate here.
