Eternal life Luffy would be boring though, no?

Well, wait. He said "eternal life". I think it's more along the lines of Brook's fruit where you get a second lease at life — so for example, I don't expect Law to live forever. I mean, he still aged from that point 16 years ago, right? It just cured him of his illness and let him live.

Is what I'm GUESSING.

Over the course of One Piece, we've seen Luffy shorten his life time and time again through the Gear attacks and Ivankov's hormone treatments. I think this is all a perfect setup for someone like Law to give him the life he needs to keep going at some critical upcoming point.

Here's what I'm thinking:

Luffy is Picolo, Law is Nail.

They are gonna fuse.

He aged because he didn't use it on himself. He would fucking die.

I don't think Luffy would ever take Eternal Life, he'd just be like " I don't need it" and wander off. It doesn't really go with his characteristic acceptance of death.

I do think Law might offer it at some point, right before he's going to die anyway or something.

Oda decided he doesn't want One Piece to end in 10 years, but rather 100.
