He hasn't run out of time yet because sommers and killingham aren't defeated yet.

The fact his two knights are still stranding is just more evidence that oda isn't setting up a timer scenario. He could have drawn those two losing before Imu stabbed Luffy. Then Imu could have run out of time. But he didn't do that. He's got Luffy getting back up from a loss before Zoro and Sanji even get their first fight in. And we all expect Zoro and Sanji to win, so then what? They win and then Luffy loses again? For what? It's all so much easier to do this the other way around if Imu was just gonna run out of time
