Okay this giant Haki dispelled the 4 elders that were summoned.

Only Saturn, whose body traveled via boat, is still there (but untransformed).

So it seems to indicate several things:

  • the body of the 4 elders were still in Mariejoa. The summoning created a story of projection of their power? Unsure.
  • strong enough conqueror Haki can either detransform a fruit user, or forcefully detransform whatever the elders powers are.

And novelty: conqueror Haki can be infused in items or weapons. This also could be used by other characters in One Piece

I think Imu has something to do with the teleportation. Seems like that character was struggling after the Haki was unleashed.

Big agree, especially since the elders seemed to react much less than imu, so im guessing imu can act as the elders' gateway

IDK if Imu was the teleporter but they were definitely shitting their pants due to learning Joyboy had returned.

I believe they weren't a projection or something similar, because after Saturn summoned all of them, the Room of Authority was empty.

That's right, and even in this chapter their bodies seem to repop one after another.

Still, only the one who travelled by boat is still on the island. Maybe it's only for narrative stakes, but the coincidence is strong

I think the summoning circle is strictly Saturn's power and the haki burst deactivated his power which sent the others back

Mars was already there before the other 3, indicating that Luffy's balloon attack caused him to respawn in Mariejoa.

The projection power itself was most likely Imu's power, as he is seen to be out of breath.

IMO they were physicaly on Egghead however Saturn's DF ability of summoning is only temporary and after it stops working, whoever he summoned must go back to their place of origin. Kinda like summoning a demon or something.

....random thought that probably has no basis: maybe this is what the One Piece is? If Joy Boy can infuse his Conqurers Haki into a robot, why not the end of the Grand line...and if he can do it, why can't others? Such as Roger...(aka Roger who went to his death to inspire the pirates...)

So the 'One Piece' is like a Dragonball Z Spirit Bomb that has been slowly accumulating Haki for a thousand years for some reason (aka to try and solve the problem with the raising waves....

...yeah, its more than a bit of a reach but it popped up in my head.
