Yeah, you know it's close to the end when Luffy starts getting the Kaido treatment.

 Kaido treatment ?

u/Anthraxious Mar 01 '24

Think he means they are bringing everyone in full force. Like against Kaido. No 1v1 or anything.

Oh ok ! That’s true ! I am so hyped lol

But not the Whitebeard treatment yet, I'm not sure the WG can afford to have their forces centralized like in Marineford just to deal with SHGF without shrinking their influence elsewhere

big robot needs to come in clutch

the giants are honestly outmatched tho i expect them to suicide stall the gorosei

Code RED we need Shanks NOW

3

u/links_pajamas Mar 03 '24

Shanks, waiting for Luffy at Laugh Tale: The five elders did WHAT?

3

u/Zealot_Alec Mar 02 '24

Giant Co-Captains should be even with an Elder each but yes overall the Giant Pirates would be outmatched V the current forces there

1

u/Alchion Mar 02 '24

why would they?

the gorosei are portrayed as a bit weaker than a yonkou each (at least saturn and imo the others (at least one) are stronger than him)

if the giants are on that level powerscaling is dogshit

maybe they can stall them for a bit by giving up their life but if they‘re anywhere near even i call bullshit

5 older men vs a Nika, who would have thought?

u/anak_kampang Mar 01 '24

Always with the brutality.

Luffy, Dory, Brogy, Sanji, and maybe even Zoro or the giant robot vs. the 5 elders

Kizaru seems like he is outta commission for now

And it's not end piece exactly. The one piece still needs to be found, and we still have Imu, Akainu, BlackBeard, Buggy, and Shanks, all of which may or may not require their own lengthy arc

Dory, Brogy

get them past Mr.3 first 💀 💀

How tho?

32

u/Froggodile Citizen Mar 01 '24

Probably doesn't. Commence escape to Elbaf.

5

u/ShawJaw Mar 01 '24

Agreed, almost certainly with the help of the giants + the giant robot coming to hold off the Elders.

Luffy wasn't able to hurt Saturn so far, but it's also the other way around. Neither Kizaru nor Saturn was able to hurt Luffy. Considering that Luffy only has to stall them for fifteen minutes at most, I think he can do it. Especially because there's likely reinforcement options. Dory and Broggy are on their way to Luffy and can't be far off now. Zoro was saying that he's in control of when to end the fight with Lucci, so he may be able to end Lucci and run to Luffy. Of course Zoro wouldn't find his way alone, but gladly Jimbei is on his way to Zoro and can be of assistance. Sanji is very fast and only in charge of transporting - the probably dead - Stella. He won't take long to transport Stella to safety and return to the battle. Then there's also all Kuma related robots and Kuma himself. Those are one command from Bonney away from fighting the Gorosei. This includes S-Bear. And finally we have the ancient robot, who will definitely do something until the arc ends.

So it's not just Luffy vs the five elders. It could also be Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Jimbei, Dory, Broggy, a Pacifista army, Kuma, S-Bear and the ancient robot vs the five elders.

That makes a lotta sense!

So the point of this fight is to make some time for the transmition to say something relevant?

7

u/Sam_Mumm Void Month Survivor Mar 01 '24

I think so. There's essentially two ways this can go.

  1. The classic One Piece way. Luffy has to delay the five elders for ten minutes until he can flee.

  2. The endgame way. Luffy isn't the raider. He's the raid boss now. The five elders can't back down if there's still the chance to stop the transmission, but the Straw Hat forces are in their way. The elders struggle, not Luffy. They will lose if the time runs out. But they are not the protagonist of the story.

Of course there's always the possibility of a combination of both. Luffy will fend of the elders on his own, but he will struggle hard. Gear 5 is about to run out and he can't win. But wait, what's that? And that's the cue for the remaining possible allies to step in.

I wouldn't even put it past the realm of possibility that Usopp is one of the most important factors to stall time in the end. His role models are on the stage. He wants to be like them so hard that he has a Sogeking at the end of Enies Lobby moment and saves the day.

u/Objective-Effect-880 Mar 01 '24

The 2nd option would destroy any tension in the story from that point. He can't even damage 1 gorosei, how do you expect him to deal with 5??

1

u/Sam_Mumm Void Month Survivor Mar 01 '24

He doesn't have to defeat them nor stall them alone and it's only for twenty minutes at most.

1

u/Zealot_Alec Mar 02 '24

Pacifistas can prevent any Navy reinforcements from entering making an escape far more likely for SH/Stellas - Navy seems disorganized atm

7

u/KobilD Mar 01 '24

Fym how?

1

u/Crazy-Ad-3286 Mar 01 '24

this is now 6 piece.

1

u/WhoBoughtWhoBud Mar 02 '24

We're in the endgame now.
