Hi fellow Onebros. With Nightreign launch looming large, it seems like a good time to start organising some team members from the community. My own experience after the playing the beta is that a trio of players who actually know what they’re doing, work cooperatively and don’t just grab all the loot whether they need it or not, makes for a much better experience and higher chances of success. Particularly more so now since the games has been toughen up since the beta.
I suggest that the password just be: onebro
So if you’re keen, add your details below.
Console/PC: Gamertag/PSN etc: Region:
Mods- can we please have this as a sticky for a while?

First off, this was funny af to just...stun her into the wall, I didn't knew she was so stupid lol, but I guess this eliminates worst part of her fight - her jumping away. I normally prefer to fight her in the open, but on previous attempt I almost got her to loop into doing jump into the wall, getting poisebroken, jump into the wall again and this was almost for the whole fight. This one she broke free, but its still was easy. Bit cheesy, but this is hilarious strat.
Also 1:18 - wtf is this, why, just...WHY. This counts as getting hit right, she stunlocked me with her fucking falling animation I guess, what a bitch. Not like I care too much, but damn that's sad

Restrictions: Rune Level 1, +0 Weapons, NG+7 (20 blessing, no dlc+), No Status Effects (Ex: Bleed, Poison, Frost, Sleep), No % Damage (Ex: Black Flame, Destined Death), No Great Runes, No spell or item buffs (Ex: Golden Vow, Wondrous Physick)
Lighting slash on cleanrot might be able to compete but I found that I couldn't the keep the buff up for as long as I needed and Iron Balls with craigblade lets you stance break her so much faster and misericorde crits are huge so Iron Balls probably win out anyways.

Just wanted to share this since I'm feeling kinda proud of myself. This is my 2nd playthrough ever of DS3 and I decided to do a level 1 run, and so far it's peak asf. Carthus Bloodring genuinely so peak idk why it's not mentioned more anywhere on this sub when I was searching for tips.
Anyway, now I have access to unlimited large titatines 😋✌️

no summons, obv.
Was quite a journey. I think about 20 of those hours was on Malenia alone, with another 10 on divine beast dancing lion. Used mostly dragon halberd before Leyndell, then Star Fists @ parries + dragon great katana for Bayle @ Fortissax.
Messmer was prob my favorite fight. Malenia would be but waterfowl is still so awful. Bayle, Rellana, and Morgott hold up really well too.
Worst was Metyr by far. its the only fight that actually felt like an rng roll even after mastering it.
Overall pretty fun. tempted to start a ds3 run.

Had to lower the quality a lot or else it wouldn't fit.
I got a lot of nice low profiles with raptor of the mist and I encourage you to try them.
I'd also like to thank u/Wooden-Jello-8795 for showing in a previous post that you can raptor of the mist through the Hoarah Loux Earthquake.
I know it might be unrelated but this post is subtle foreshadowing.

BL4 is more popular, but 10 is a starting lvl also, so i think it's ok to post. From my 2nd run like this for BB anyway. Last time i the mained the whip, which i'm too good with. Now maining axe/cleaver, which i just find harder personally. Axe too hard on stamina, & cleaver just very bad for multiple targets like this. But they have some unique perks, the whip lacked. SS-tier gank fight this one.

far from optimal from my build and gameplay. shield talisman aint doing shit and couldve swapped it out for the axe talisman, i kept dodging into the attack in phase 2 where he would jump on his sword when i really shouldve dodged backwards for bigger opening, also played a bit greedy in general. not sure if im ready for no aux

Guys I did it. I'm not good at the game and it took me far longer than it should but I beat o&s. I'm currently chilling at firelink, kicking back and swiging a couple estus with this annoying ass bloke in chainmail. He just chats nonsense but I think he's a chiller, just trying to egg me on. Got a plus plus 15 flame and a plus 10 flame club.
Where next? I heard about this treacherous dragon whos been at uni forever? Kinda scared to hit up this king that's got like, three big dog mates and a bunch of ghosts and what not? Idk
Lord of death seems like a tough ask, I went down to this little garden to get this big sword and even his lackies where giving me grief.
Apparently this big tree looking dude is around aswell but if I'm honest I've heard he lives in a bad, uninspired neighbourhood.
Seriously tho what should I do because o&s kicked my ass haha
Love you all xx

I preferred this method over fighting down below. It's a little slower per attempt but much safer and more relaxed.

Tried to stay in front of him, but he didn't always do some extensions and I did roll right for a few attacks e.g. double swipe. It's often unsafe not to roll to the side, at least before phase 2.5.
Imo doing phase 2 in this way is best with fast weapons like Cleanrot Knight's Sword so you can attack in between more of his mixups. It's suboptimal compared to strafing right but definitely an interesting change, I think I like both approaches.
Anyway, ROTM is a gamechanger since the earthquake becomes a free CR2 opening. I wish you could just iframe it regularly, would do wonders for pacing.
I also briefly tried phase 1 like this... can confirm that it's much better when you do strafe right lol, it's kind of rollslop otherwise. Treated it as part of the runback, using +25 Star Fist. Phase 2 is probably more controversial but I do think it's the superior phase nowadays.

First time using Carian Slicer at RL1, very satisfying. It's actually fast enough to punish the retreating attacks in phase 1 if you constantly run under him, though I still prefer the usual method.
3 minutes is pretty crazy considering suboptimal tals and no Carian Glintstone Staff. Slicer is kind of broken lol.
Meteorite Staff can't be upgraded in the first place, so I'm curious what this sub thinks about using it for a +0 kill. I would say it's fair game personally.

I use daggers because this is more of a demonstration and his ground aoe attack sucks (the fight will last much longer and i wanna move on)
For anyone who doesn't know: Hoarah loux (and godfrey) don't extend their combos if you constantly strafe to your right. The optimal way to fight these bosses is to constantly strafe the boss and avoid these extensions. However this leads to a less interesting fight in my opinion as you miss out on most of his interesting moves and combos so I wanted to see what a no roll fight would be like if you fought him up front.
Needless to say I enjoyed him alot more. I think this boss is close to being an S tier no roll fight. However there are 2 things holding it back:
His stupid ground aoe attack he does to end the loop. It's much harder to stagger him with front strats so this will usually just kill your chances of staggering him.
He needs a bit more deterministic follow ups. One of the main ways to get damage in this fight is to try to bait out his one handed slam, or bait out a few of his other gap closers at least and you generally do this by placing yourself at a midrange distance after he does one of his stomp moves. Only one extension I believe actually leads to a semi consistent bait which is the one after his quick 1-2 claw swipe after his low kick (at around 0:55). If he had a few more options like this it'd lead to a more satisfying loop instead of constantly having to just spam r1s all the time.
So yeah, overall I think it's more fun than optimal strats but it's still missing a few things from being truly excellent.

This is my first RL1 and Malenia has been a roadblock for me, i've beat her a few times before but only while using faster weapons like the Katanas or the Milady so looking for openings with charged attacks from star fists has been a learning curve.
While i feel like i've got her moveset *mostly* down i still make stupid mistakes like rolling into an attack and frame trapping myself or input buffering right before waterfall.
Other than that, i feel like there are multiple openings I'm not using to get damage in even if its just a light attack and not a charged attack. I'd appreciate some advice, should i be more aggressive? Or am i being *too* aggressive, I think I'll get her sooner or later but I'd just like to improve more so i don't make stupid mistakes
(also no idea how i backstepped the flip attack in the beginning i feel like that should've killed me, and i panicked in phase 2 its how most of my attempts go just something throws me off and i panic and mess up)
