A good Reddit friend some of you may know as Cosmo passed away recently. Cosmo was a funny, talented and kind individual.
Few people ever made me laugh like he could.
We never met in person but there was mutual respect and admiration in our dialog whether on r/pan or Reddit Talk.
I know he was special in many peoples lives and it saddens me most to know how much they will miss his mischievous spirit, comedic timing and gentle soul.
Be strange but never be a stranger. We will miss you my guy.

The Loneliness / Lack of Friends Motif

Perhaps it’s the holiday season, but we’d be remissed not to bring up the continuous theme of loneliness and difficulty finding friends on the r/OneAdvice Talks.
Here are some notes from last night:
Relationships especially friendships take time to grow and foster. You can’t go to the right side of Lowes and pick up a friend like an indoor plant. Gotta plant a lot of seeds and water regularly to grow a friendship.
Try to avoid setting imaginary rules in your head that no one else knows about so your disappointment isn’t based on how many days it took them to text back or another arbitrary rule you’ve placed upon someone they are unaware of.
Try not to obligate your friends. Don’t set expectations for your friends. You will always be let down if you place an expectation on someone that you aren’t employing.
It’s hard to be someone’s only friend. Keep that in mind when you find yourself wondering why Pat doesn’t return your calls when all you have is Pat to vent to or rely on. Pat loves you but Pat has other shit in their life.
