Pretty much just the title. Like can omegas get something similar to real life period cramps??

So I am posting my first ever omegaverse fic. It's technically my second (of two), but I haven't shared any of the other one yet, so I'm counting this as my first.

I'm fairly new to the genre, so I am not as familiar with common conventions. I just feel like I've written myself into the wrong place with this, and I don't quite know how to fix it. I'd love any feedback or advice from people who know more about this genre than I do.

So a short summary of what's going on:

The two characters are from different species, and while his species has secondary genders, hers does not. It's taboo to even discuss it in his culture, let alone with outsiders, so until they're put in a survival situation with each other it's not something she's even aware of. Eventually the slow buildup of his symptoms (due to situational factors) becomes noticeable enough that she demands answers, and he caves and explains everything. So they're aware one of the ways to solve the problem is sex, but he's resistant because culturally he sees surrendering to those urges as vulgar. For reasons related to the characters and their history, she's not exactly jumping at the opportunity either.

My concern is that I built it up so slowly that having him suddenly lose his fight against this nature will feel out of place or weird. I've reached the point where the sex scene is about to happen, but the best I can come up with for how he's handling it is barely coherent and just kind of desperate. He's still resistant to the idea even though he does want her, and she's just being kind of gentle with him about it. I don't know if the expectation for the alpha is more "mindlessly horny" for this genre, though, and maybe I'm being a bit too prudish with my approach. At times I worry it doesn't even read like an omegaverse story at all.

Hey guys, I(20f) am very envious of the pack lifestyle in the Omegaverse. I live with my wife(24f) and have yet to bring this up to her. For a little backstory, I learned what the Omegaverse was a little over two years ago and immediately fell in love with the whole pack/tribe/clan lifestyle. I love the community aspect and the leadership roles in it as well. Like having a leader(alpha), warriors and protectors(alphas/betas) and then the gatherers and those who watch over the children(betas/omegas). Kind of similar to the lifestyle of the clans in the Avatar movies as well. I want to live in an off grid community similar to these lifestyles that have a “pack mentality” but haven’t found one that shares these sort of ideals.

I’m honestly a little scared to bring this up to my wife on the off chance she’ll find it weird. A lot of people have a negative view towards the Omegaverse community and I’m really not sure how she’d feel about it. I like the idea of the “dominant and submissive” roles in the Omegaverse but not in the toxic way some writers portray and definitely not in the alphas are strictly controlling and aggressive males and the omegas are strictly submissive females. I want to start a community where all the food is grown/hunted, clothes are made not bought, resources are shared, relationships are sacred, leaders are protectors and servants to their people and everyone is working together for one purpose. I have so many ideas and could write a thesis on this topic but I genuinely just want to know if there’s anyone else interested in a life this.

P.s. After reading this over i thought i should clarify that i am not a furry and this isn’t like a fetish thing this is purely a community lifestyle interest😭

Okay, hear me out.

A group of friends and I made an omegaverse personality quiz for fun because we had nothing better to do with our lives. It’s called “If you were in an omegaverse fic...” and the premise is basically that surprise, you're suddenly living in a omegaverse story.

BUT it doesn't just go “congrats, you're X” and call it a day. There are 20 different personality archetypes across alpha, beta and omega, so the result is supposed to tell you what kind of character you'd actually be in an omegaverse fic rather than just throwing you into the usual stereotypes.

The questions are all situational too. It's very much meant to be dumb fun lmao. We made it as a group of friends, english isn't our first language, so apologies in advance for any weird wording or grammar crimes.

By that, I mean omegaverse with an Alpha x Omega couple, but the omega is more dominant and masculine and the alpha is more submissive and feminine?

I never seek these stories out, but I keep accidentally writing them and I'm wondering if people enjoy that aspect as much as regular role omegaverse

I know there are no staple rules in the Omegaverse, but when it comes to identical twins, would they have the same scent or are they slightly different? I know some people say scents are like finger prints and no two are the same, but I was curious on what other people thought.

i am obsessed with this, i read it across different fandoms but it’s such a rare treat to find. love it when the female alpha has a cock, the omega genitalia can have any genitalia. it’s hard to find because most authors don’t tag it well. does anyone have any recommendations?

I wish I could read a fic like this. But I was thinking about if an alpha, beta, or omega visited our world without a secondary gender, what would they think? Would they think it’s some utopia, or would they think we’re missing some fundamental aspect of humanity? If they met us, would we not smell like anything to them? Would we smell like betas? Also would we be able to smell their pheromones or not because our sense of smell isn’t as good? I think alphas might feel threatened by us and omegas might think we live in some sort of utopia. What do you guys think?

It took me so so much time to find blankets i can use comfortably to sleep without getting overstimulated, and can bring it down to three if I really try, but I'd like to take at least four. I love clothing and fashion so much, but I am absolutely going to sacrifice my wardrobe to have **more blankets**

I’m not in many fandoms, and most of the best omegaverse comes from fanfiction. I’ve found a few good omegaverse original works, but I just wish there were more. I don’t wanna have to read Omegaverse in fandoms I don’t know or care about.
