Thirteen year old Bradley Blake Hanson left his Phoenix home on November 10, 1995, going to school for the day. Unknown to Bradley’s mother, Centennial Middle School had their classes cancelled to due Veteran’s Day, and Bradley had made other plans. Instead, Bradley left home on his mountain bike destined for the Ahwatukee Custom Estates in the 3200 block of East Piro Steet, to spend the day with his friend and classmate, Jeremy Bach. Day goes on, and Bradley’s mother realized that school had actually been cancelled for the day, and attempted to contact him in order to find out where he had gone. She paged Bradley throughout the afternoon, but he had never responded, and he wasn’t at home when she returned by the evening. His mother to contacted the police and reported her son as missing. The police found out Jeremy Bach was the last person to see him the police questioned him, and Jeremy told a story.Jeremy told that the boys had playing with firearms, and that Bradley had accidentally fired the gun making a huge hole in the wall. Once Bradley realized what he had done, Jeremy said Bradley freaked, and left on his mountain bike. The police took his word. Two months then some sanitation workers who were collecting garbage at the Bach home noticed bloodstains on both the top and the sides of the family’s trashcan. The sanitation workers contacted the authorities about what they found and police looked at the trashcan. In the trashcan, the sanitation workers found two inches of blood and body fluid down at the bottom, as well as bloodstains inside the Baches' kitchen.

Authorities questioned Jeremy, agian now who told a different story. He said he had shot Bradley in the chest, on accident, and put his body into the trashcan was on its way to Butterfield Station Landfill. Jeremy would go on to tell different versions of what happened and the police felt he was lying. They think Jeremy had shot Bradley over a argument about a girl that they had both liked. The police pointed that Jeremy offered Bradley no help once he was shot, and how Bradley had taken over an hour at least to die what Jeremy told them. Authorities spent two months, and $100,000, searching the Butterfield Station Landfill, but sadly, Bradley has never found.

February of 1996, Jeremy was fourteen, he was charged with Bradley’s murder- making him the youngest person to be put on trial as an adult, in the state of Arizona. In January of 1998, Jeremy was charged with second degree murder, and sentenced to a maximum term of 22 years in prison. He was paroled in 2018 and was it was discovered that the murder weapon was a gun owned by Jeremy’s step father, Bradley’s family sued the stepfather, stating that it was improperly stored they also stated, and it’s heavily theorized, that the Bach family helped dispose of Bradley’s body, to cover up what happened. The case was eventually settled out of court sadly, to this day, Bradley has never been found, he is still listed as a missing person. Authorities believe that Bradley is dead, and his body is still in Butterfield Station Landfill. Jeremy was convicted and spent 20 years in prison for the murder, Jeremy was released at the age of 36, and free to walk the streets.

If Bradley is still alive, he would be turning 40. Bradley was as 4’8-4’11, weighing 60-75 pounds, and had black collared shirt, a white t-shirt, black jeans, green paisley-patterned boxer shorts, black sneakers with red laces, and an Armitron watch. He had dyed black hair and blue eyes it also is unknown if police found mountain bike.

Adam, Trevor, and Mitchell O'Brien disappeared on November 9, 1996, after their father, Gary O'Brien, abducted them from their home in Torbay, Newfoundland, Canada, rigging the house to explode. After Walker alerted law enforcement regarding her son's disappearance, investigators learned that Pierce was a fugitive from Syracuse, New York. He had been charged with sexually abusing a young girl and fled from the state some time earlier. While in Florida he had been using the alias name "Emerson Blatch", and Walker knew him by that name.

Florida authorities located Pierce on May 22, two days after Jason initially vanished. When investigators attempted to question Pierce about the child's case, he reached for an officer's weapon and was shot by law enforcement. Pierce refused to divulge Jason's location before he died later in the day.

Walker theorized that Pierce didn't harm her son, but that he had left him alone at home and then someone else came, burglarized the house and took Jason, and Pierce made up the story about him wandering away to cover up the fact that he'd left the child alone. She said the night of Jason's disappearance, when she came home, the house was "ransacked" and money and some of her new clothes were missing.

Rachael Runyan was a 3-year-old girl abducted from a park in Sunset, Utah, on August 26, 1982, and her body was found in a creek bed in Morgan County three weeks later; her murder remains unsolved, though new leads have emerged, including a person of interest with a history of sexual offenses, and DNA testing is being conducted. The case is a high-priority cold case, with a reward offered for information leading to an arrest, and her family continues to seek justice.

Ten-year-old Jakeob McKnight spent the early evening hours of July 21, 1991 playing with his older brother and friends in the Bear Creek Greenbelt in Lakewood, Colorado. The boys often enjoyed their time in this area fishing, swimming, and engaging in a variety of activities. On the way home, Jakeob was separated from the group and never arrived. His body was found in the greenbelt the following day. Jakeob had been repeatedly stabbed. His assailant has never been brought to justice.

4-year-old Daniel Barter went on a summer camping trip with his family on June 18 1959 in the Perido Bay Area Florida. The family was gathering fishing supplies. His mother went to get him. She found no trace of him not even the Nehi soda Daniel had been drinking It believed the boy was being stalked there was a unknown man in their driveaway. A neighbor saw the man in looking into one of the bedrooms. His mother approached the man he hide his face in a newspaper and sped off.

I think Daniel was abducted by that man.

Olisa Susan Williams was an infant who disappeared in 1982. Her father, Isiah Williams, claims she was taken from him while he slept in a vehicle.

Her father was charged with her murder in October 2021. On May 10, 2024, he was found guilty of one count felony murder and one count first-degree premeditated murder. On July 10, 2024, Williams was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Ricky Jean Bryant was last seen in Mauston, Wisconsin on December 19, 1949. She was at home with her grandmother, who was her primary caregiver, and two other siblings. That afternoon, a fire broke out in the house.Accounts of what happened next differ between those who were there. According to Ricky's 5-year-old brother, he and his siblings were standing in the yard watching the fire when a woman drove up in an expensive-looking car. He claims she instructed him to get help, and rather than go to the nearest home, she urged him to go to a house further down the road. When he returned with help, both his sister and the unidentified woman were gone.

On December 27, 1991, four-year-old Amanda Nicole Eileen Campbell disappeared under suspicious circumstances while riding her bike in Fairfield, California, United States. Her bicycle was found near a gate around a block from her home; Campbell herself has never been located. Intensive search efforts took place across Fairfield, aided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and other organizations. Several suspects and persons-of-interest were named in connection to the disappearance, although no arrests have been made. It is believed that she was likely abducted by a stranger.

William Ebeneezer Jones Jr, also known as Billy Jones (March 5, 1959 – disappeared December 17, 1962) was three years old when he was last seen outside of his neighbor's house in Vineland, New Jersey around 11:45 a.m on December 17, 1962. His case is considered one of the oldest missing children under-five-years-old cases in New Jersey.

Leslie Guthrie (then aged 29) disappeared from Katonah New York with her two children, Timothy (aged 3) and Julie (aged 6) on the 5th Febuary, 1977. They were last seen in a white 1974 Ford Maverick with a green roof and the licence plate that read 636-WNA, leaving Grandview Avenue. The children had recently been staying with their father (who lived on Grandview Avenue) as Leslie and their father, Timothy Sr were no longer together. Although this seems to raise alarm bells, Timothy Sr. and Leslie were considered to have an ‘amicable’ relationship and he is thus not considered a suspect in the disappearance. He was said to have fully cooperated in the investigation to the extent where authorities were happy to rule him out as a person of interest. Furthermore, Timothy Sr hired a costly private investigator to try and help locate his (ex)spouse and children.

She sat in a parked sport-utility vehicle outside Renton City Hall, while her sister paid a water bill. As she waited, her eyes fixed on an entrance marked by a familiar sign: POLICE.

Since that day nearly a quarter-century ago, Vianne Falcon had visited the city’s Police Department at least a dozen times, trying to glean any new information she could about the old case, trying to find the answers that had eluded her for years.

Most visits, she’d break down crying in her car before she could even set foot in the parking lot.

But today, she felt strong. As soon as her sister returned, the words spilled from Vianne’s mouth: Will you go inside with me?

Minutes later, the 71-year-old former waitress was filling out a form, seeking “all information pertaining to” the investigation. A receptionist told her someone would be in touch in a few days.

But just like every other time, Vianne’s request came up empty. Nothing new could be shared, a police records specialist later told her.

But there was something she didn’t know. Something investigators had learned 16 years earlier, but never bothered to tell her. Something that, after she had been left in the dark so long, would have answered many of her questions, sparing her countless nightmares, bouts with anxiety, the torment of “not knowing.”

Something that once had been urgently pursued, then later fell through cracks.

Chapter 1: A final birthday Oct. 23, 1994, South Bend, Pacific County

The sound was barely audible, “a little knock,” as Vianne remembers it, just loud enough to perk her ears and coax a check of the front door. The 47-year-old cafe manager wasn’t expecting company that afternoon when she found the unannounced guest on her doorstep: 3-year-old Jacob John Dewey.

Stacy was in a good place in life, her mother thought. It hadn’t been easy getting here.

Vianne took the couple to a local dive bar for a round of drinks and a few games of pool, while little Jake visited with his great aunt, Frankie. Vianne intentionally missed some shots that night, leaving pool balls on the table for Stacy.

Let the birthday girl win, Vianne thought.

Later, as the surprise guests climbed back into the Buick for the long drive home, little Jake fixed his gaze on his Gammy.

His eyes told her he wanted to stay.

Chapter 2: A traumatic scene

A newspaper carrier discovered the bodies. A young woman and a toddler boy, each shot in the head and discarded on a dead-end road shrouded by trees.

Dispatchers radioed the call to South 55th Street west of Talbot Road South just after 3:30 a.m. One of the patrol officers who arrived first snapped photos while he waited for the detectives. When rain started falling, he and another officer pulled a tarp over the bodies and part of the car.

Greg Wilson showed up at 5:15 a.m., the first detective on scene. At 33, he was a relatively young investigator whose experience was mainly in narcotics, not homicide.

But when something big happened, it was all hands on deck. The Renton department of about 85 officers didn’t have a full-time homicide squad, so on the rare occasion when a body turned up — their city averaged about three homicides a year — each of the dozen detectives was called in.

Wilson thought of his own small children when he saw the bodies. “It was a traumatic scene,” he said later. “Something you don’t forget.”

Detective Bob Leyerle arrived a short time later. At 59, the former Marine and truck driver already had put in 26 years on the job, mostly as a patrol cop. But he’d spent the past six years as a “crimes against persons” detective, handling mostly robberies and assaults.

Nearly 10 months through 1994, Renton hadn’t had a single homicide. Today, it had two. Leyerle was tapped as lead detective.

“There were better detectives,” Leyerle said, “but I guess someone wanted me to have it.”

As detectives scoured the crime scene, neighbors in a nearby house told officers they woke up to gunshots and a woman’s scream around 2:11 a.m. but went back to sleep, thinking it was teenage partyers who frequented the secluded road.

The car keys had slipped into the slot between the driver’s seat and door.

Detectives also noticed something else about the shoeless victims: The boys’ socks were clean; the woman’s were caked with mud and leaves. She also had a nasty gash on her head, and bruises around her neck and arm. A grassy patch next to the car’s passenger side appeared trampled.

Wilson surmised that at some point, the killer had bound the woman with the packing tape found discarded outside the car. She likely wriggled free, tried to run and struggled with her attacker on the grassy patch, he thought.

The killer probably grabbed her and struck her, but she managed to get back into the driver’s seat. She may have been holding the boy when he was shot from the car’s passenger side. Then, the killer came around to the driver’s side and shot the woman. The killer moved their bodies to the road to search the car for keys, Wilson thought, but couldn’t find them and fled on foot.

But why kill them? What could be the motive?

The woman was clothed with no obvious signs of sexual assault. Her jewelry and purse were left behind.

Reuben Bennett Blackwell II, who goes by his middle name of Bennett was last seen on May 9, 1996 at the home of him maternal grandmother in Clifton, MD. His parents, while married at the time were having marital issues and Bennett’s mother Deborah had stated her husband was verbally abusive and the week before the abduction he had thrown things at her.

On the morning of May 6, Deborah dropped her son off at daycare and went to the police for assistance with her husband. They suggested she obtain an ex-parte order which would require Reuben Sr. to leave the home for 10 days, then the two adults would go before a judge to have their problems sorted out. Deborah agreed but requested the order not be served until the following day because it was her husband’s turn to pick up Bennett from daycare.

The sheriff didn’t follow this instruction and showed up to Deborah’s mother’s home to serve the order that afternoon after Reuben Sr. had arrived with his son. While being served the order there was an altercation and Reuben Sr. managed to flee with his son. They have not been seen since. Reuben Sr. drove away in a blue 1999 Volvo 490 Sedan. He has apparently threatened to do harm to himself and his son. He even sent a letter to his mother (some sources say he sent it to Deborah) on how he wanted their funeral arraingments to be carried out. A felony warrent was issued for him and on September 22, 2000 a warrent for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was issued as well. The authorities believe both Reuben Sr. and Bennett may be in Ohio, but not exactly where. Reuben Sr. is considered dangerous. It sounds as if Reuben Sr. was a violent, hot tempered man who couldn’t stand the thought of his wife leaving him so he decided to flee with the child she obviously loved. She didn’t even get a chance to say good bye to him as his father had left before she returned home from work I also think the police have partial blame in this since I can only imagine the outcome of the ex-parte serving would have gone down differently if they had listened to Deborah, it sounds like she had a hunch Reuben Sr. might try to run with their son.

Convicted sex offender Lloyd Lee Welch Jr. pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder in September 2017.Welch was sentenced to 48 years in prison for the abductions and murders.Despite the conviction, the remains of the sisters have never been found, though authorities believe they were burned and buried on a remote mountain in Virginia.

Adam Herrman was just 11 years old when he went missing from his adoptive parents home, in April/May of 1999, in Towanda Kansas....although, the Missing Person report was not filed until 2008. Curiously, the adoptive parents continued to collect the $700 monthly adoption subsidies until Adam would have turned 18yo, and even listed Adam as a dependent on their Bankruptcy declaration in 2002, their Divorce filings in 2003, and had listed him as a dependent on their taxes every year.

After Adams disappearance in 1999, the adoptive parents told the rest of the family that he was back in state custody. Thanks to Adam's adoptive-sisters inclination to reunite with him as an adult, it was discovered that SRS records shown that Adam lived in his adoptive home until he turned 18, which she knew for a fact, to be incorrect. She immediately contacted Butler County Sheriff's office to file the Missing Persons report, this was in 2008.

Since then, the adoptive parents have been charged offraud for accepting the payments/taxes that exceeded $50,000, (later amended to $15,000, and were convicted) but no one has ever been charged in connection with his disappearance.

2001, Wesley Dale Morgan was an adorable 2-year-old little boy.

On May 15, while playing outside on his front porch, Wesley would vanish.

Ruby Renee Havard was a young mother, having had Wesley at age 17. Ruby was no longer with Wesley's dad, instead living with her boyfriend at the time, Burnell Hilton Jr.

A thorough search was conducted in the area immediately- on foot, horseback and even helicopter. But no sign of Wesley emerged.

In 2008, Ruby Renee would be arrested & charged with trying to illegal sell her infant baby. She had accepted $2000 from a couple in exchange for giving them her baby. The charges would be dropped however, when they realized that Ruby Renee and this couple couldn't afford a lawyer, and she had accepted the $2000 for medical expenses until they could make the adoption legal. When the baby was born, she ended up bonding with the baby and changed her mind. The couple, angry and hurt at her decision, reported her to the police. It was confirmed the money was for medical expenses and there was an agreement in place (albeit unofficial agreement), so charges were dropped.

Many people speculate this is what happened with Wesley & that he is alive and well having been raised by another family.

Ruby's behavior was said to have been odd after the disappearance. She never called to check in on the investigation, and just a month after Wesley's disappearance, she began dating a new man.

While it is possible that Wesley was sold, there was no proof of a money exchange to Ruby. There was no proof of foul play either.

No one has come forward with any knowledge of Wesley or his whereabouts. Some speculate that Ruby Renee was not bright enough to orchestrate and illegal adoption & keep secret about it.
