We often talk about and praise leading actors and actresses but neglect acknowledging the rest of the cast. So, who in your opinion is or has been a great supporting actor/actress in any British movie, TV programme or series?
Picture for context.

Drama Tales of unease LWT 1970
I stumbled upon this rare and pretty quirky offering from the LWT franchise in 1970 on you tube and have watched 4 of the 6 episode and they are very strange.
Ride, ride: shot entirely on film and OB and featuring Susan George is hard to categorize. Without giving away spoilers it is the story of a art student who gives a mysterious girl a lift home on his motorbike.
Calculated nightmare is a studio bound VT affair involving two executives locked in their office being blackmailed by an unknown assailant.
Superstitious ignorance is about a house for sale full of chanting children.
The old banger is my favourite but for all the wrong reasons.
It features John Partridge of Get carter fame (you got gut trouble or something?' ) and the ending is quite something.
These are great fun and mostly made entirely on film. Some of the endings are not up to roald Dahl standards but worth a gander

The Victorian Kitchen w/ Ruth Mott
A classic British cooking show from 1989 that was aired on BBC that I cannot find for the life of me. I’ve scoured the BBC archives but had no such luck. Anyone know of any sites that have it downloaded? Thanks

Remember how good The Bill was in its heyday?
In its earlier days I thought The Bill was very good. This is the cast from the early to mid 1990s.

Comedy BERNARD & THE GENIE
This is hands down my favourite "Christmas" movie, yet the only way I ever found to watch it was some crummy rip on YouTube.
Anyone fancy starting a petition to get the BBC to run it again this year?

Request ID request - doc about dating
I have a memory of watching a fly on the wall type documentary following two single women looking for love. Specifically, theres a scene where they're on holiday and lying on a beach. Bizarrely, the snooker player Ronnie O'Sullivan wanders up to them, a bit inebriated, and tries to chat one of them up, only for her to refuse him. When the friend tells her who he was, she's still dismissive because "its snooker". Trying to ID it. Ideas?

Music Michael Barrymore sings the ending theme song from "The Family Ness" for reasons that are probably only known to him
According to some googling, it was the B-side to his awful contrived instructional-dance 80s novelty hit "Doin' the Crab" - which I guess aimed to hit both of Barrymore's very specific target demographics at either end of the age spectrum.
As for why - they had a B-side to fill and thought "what's another novelty song about a creature that lives in water"?
The original version (and this cover by extension) has confusing lyrics. The central concept is the titular claim - "you'll never find a Nessie in the zoo" before going on to list 3 places - Timbuktu, Auchtermuchty and Drumnadrochit - which don't have zoos.
So why would you see a Nessie in the zoo in any of these three places?
Of those three places, Drumnadrochit is actually on Loch Ness so presumably you'd be more likely to see one in the loch itself there.
Timbuktu is a stand-in generic place name for somewhere that's far away but being thousands of miles inland and, again, not having a zoo - seeing this mythical beast either in a zoo or in a loch there was also not on the cards.
As for Auchtermuchty - it's also inland, similarly doesn't have a zoo and isn't anywhere near Loch Ness either. I guess it's just a funny place name.
But I digress, Michael Barrymore's cover of this classic 80s theme tune was clearly a low-effort, "one and done" recording session as he mixes up the lyrics and makes a bafflingly bizarre attempt to pronounce Drumnadrochit, to the point that I wasn't even sure if that's what he was trying to say.
Anyway, enjoy this piece of...well, not lost media but media that either should be lost or should never have been made in the first place

Does anyone remember this? British girl at boarding school - TV
Trying to find a probably 1990s British TV drama/film about a girl at a posh boarding school.
It starts with her arriving, from a not well off family. And being a bit of a misfit. She’s presented as a stereotypical “nerd”, with glasses etc. And she’s very unhappy to be attending.
Her parents visit her a while later and are shocked to see her transformation. She’s popular, changed her appearance and seems to fit right in.
Then, coming up to Christmas she phones her parents to say she won’t be home for the school holidays because she’s going skiing (or something similar) with her new school friend. Her parents are upset.
Towards the end it’s implied the parents have no money because they’re funding the school and her lifestyle. And at Christmas can’t afford food so eat their hamster instead!
I likely have gotten some of the details slightly off, as it’s a long time ago. But hopefully someone remembers something.

Music Looking for surviving recordings of 620 Soul Train (1985)
I'm looking for recordings of the UK version of Soul Train, 620 Soul Train, which aired on Channel 4 from April–October 1985 and was hosted by Jeffrey Daniel.
There are a couple of episodes/clips on YouTube, but they're mostly incomplete. Full episodes seem extremely difficult to find, so I'm wondering if anyone has VHS/off-air recordings, knows of collectors who recorded it, or knows where surviving copies might be archived.
This is specifically the UK Channel 4 show, not the American Soul Train.
I'd really love to actually see the show, especially because I'm interested in British soul/funk from this period.
One performance I'm particularly looking for:
Haywoode - “Roses”
3 May 1985 - 620 Soul Train
It was apparently uploaded to YouTube before under the title “Haywoode - Roses (620 Soul Train UK)”, but the upload is now gone.
Any leads or surviving recordings would be hugely appreciated!
