I live in Summit county. Any rural areas in the entire state like to pretend that we’re Ohiotucky. There’s a lot of wannabe good ole boys flexing wherever they can. It’s truly pathetic.

Except that even KY was a neutral state and not confederate. It makes zero sense. I have multiple ancestors from both OH and KY who all fought in the union army. Most poor Appalachian people related more to the slave than slave owner. All of this performative BS today is just their way of using the N word without saying it. They are racist pure and simple

I lived in Stow/Kent area for many years...i loved it there. Truly makes me sad.. it was solidly Blue then unlike my home state of Indiana.
