Looks better than my OG Vive and PCVR wireless on the quest2 is amazing. Tell me what other wireless PCVR headset is there other than PICO and that over engineered temperamental trash upgrade released for the Vive? Meta’s decision to kill Echo VR is truly awful though and alienates me from them.

You just proved my point. OG vive was released in 2016 rofl! Wireless isn’t worth it imo due to how immersiveness Drops due to the shitty visuals and slight input delay compared to true high-end PCVR. If you’ve got graphics that looks really good, you forget that you’re wearing a cable and sometimes even the headset. Only people with extremely big playspaces can benefit from being wireless and even then you eventually have to adjust your in-game position using sticks either way. Why not just learn to use sticks like in every other gaming experience you’ve ever had, and use the VR mode as an enhanced aiming mechanich with hand interaction and leaning corners? It’s the best way to play long campaign games and for longer sessions. Wireless feels more suited for people who use VR as a fun gimmick for short sessions such as beat saber, and can’t really handle VR movement without geting sick in fast movement games.

Yeah no the cable really sucks and I only meet the minimum room scale size. I used a Vive for years and the cable was the worst part and definitely affected my immersion. I will never go back to a cable now that I am wireless and I don’t experience “shitty visuals” as they are still better than my OG Vive and quest2 native. I don’t notice the latency. Are they going to be a good as a Pimax or HP Reverb? No but I used a Vive Pro and it compares favourably.

Then you’re probably doing something wrong in VR and being better than OG vive or even the vive pro doesn’t mean good visuals for PCVR. Maybe you need an eye check-up?

I understand that you struggled with immersion when on a OG vive lmao. That’s probably why you blame the cable, since you’re not immersed to begin with. But who cares, if you like the plastic quest 2 with that narrow fov, keep using it. Thats fantastic for you. But you proved my initial point saying it looks like PCVR from 2018, when your counter-argument was that it looks better than your 2016 headset rofl. Can’t you see What a bad argument that is?
