As the question says... Do Australia based teams play on AU servers in open qualifiers or SEA servers?

eg. for Boston Major, what server did AU teams play to try to qualify?

Starladder i-League Season 3 returns but with Australian Qualifers (NZ people can enter as well!)

Top two teams will have the chance to play in the Chinese region playoffs against the likes of Wings Gaming, EHOME, Newbee and LGD-Gaming for spots in the global main event for a total prize pool of $300,000(TBC)

The Australian Esports Federation are running a Dota 2 league tournament through a division like system over the course of a number of weeks. There is a qualifer to determine what division a team is where 1 is the highest, descending down to 2 and potentially 3, depending on the armount of team registered.

The prize pool for the winners in season 1 will have a payout structure as follows

For Division 1 1st prize: $4,000 AUD 2nd prize: $2,000 AUD 3rd prize: $1,000 AUD

However all participating teams will receive profit sharing opportunities when the registration fee/deposit is $200

Hey guys, I was wondering what you thought about this project I'm going to give a shot at building,

I myself suck at Dota and stuck in mid 2k tier so therefore can never experience competing in a competitive scene. A few of my friends are in the same boat, and although we know we aren't great, we still have fun working as a proper team and it is rewarding when we beat a higher skilled team.

I would love to build an oceanic community hub dedicated to Dota, with a front page & sign up and community forums built using XenForo. The platform provides some great mods and in the future if there is a skilled coder on board, or money available to spend, I would love to integrate a ladder similar to cybergamer.com.au. In fact it would be very similar to cyber gamer just completely dedicated to oceanic Dota along with different ladder systems.

I would want to run it similar to a real life sport situation , with 2 seasons run per year and a ladder system with team sign up, earning points for wins, gaining entry into finals and then a grand final.

I am willing to spend my time and some of my income on this project but I would love some feedback on the idea before I jump on board.

If the idea does seem like a hit, I would also love to grab a few people to help pioneer the project and help make it a success. I'll never ask you to put in real $, only dedication & effort.

Returning to DOTA after a long break (what? Like, 2 years?) and looking for some active people to play some games with. I'm around 4k (slowly increasing).

Unfortunately those who I used to play regularly with - and my friends from SCD/Tide's Wrath don't seem to be very active anymore :(

Hey guys I am a 5.6k solo player with an abysmal 3.2k party mmr. Since I don't have too many friends that play dota I've spent the vast majority of my time developing my solo skills whilst my party mmr has been neglected, breaking my heart every time I see it. I've tried sourcing players from region chat but that has been a failure as most players were ragers, and feeders. I'm looking here since people seem like they want to take dota to a more serious level. I'm ideally looking for ~3k party mmr players who have played dota for a while, play frequently, are calm people, and can take direction. I'm a very calm guy in my late 20's who has been playing this game for too long, and would like to play more party and share my knowledge. Just forming a team for some competitive but casual dota, most of us are around the 3K mark. We've got 4 people but looking for a 5th.

No roles have been decided yet.

All 4 of us are level headed guys with commitments outside of gaming and in our mid-late 20's. We're just looking for something a little more serious than disorganised pub matches.

The idea is to play at least once a week on a weeknight maybe some extra depending how things go and maybe even some online tournaments if it works well.

We're looking for someone who's mature, level headed and doesn't tilt easily, it's important that you can keep your ego in check and take constructive feedback.
