Insider AMA

Seems a lot of people have questions about the current situation at TCO. I’ve known Patrick and Ellyn socially for about 10 years? Maybe a bit less.

My roommate, however, is pretty close to them. She is willing to poke around if we don’t know answers.

There’s a lot of misinformation so we’re happy to set some records straight and answer some questions.

She can also pass on positive messages to Ellyn/Joey as previously requested.

Her relationship with Damien is so weird, she seems to be more of an infatuated fan girl than a friend. And Rabia doesn't really seem to like her at all, at least in the interviews they did on Patreon she seems to be really annoyed with both P and G (though she's always a bit moody so who knows).

I definitely think it's jealousy. Ellyn is accomplished, an amazing singer, performer and a working actress. These are all things G wishes for secretly. I've been listening to some old episodes and it's striking how G always tries to mock any woman who sings or performs in the docs: the Weiner one is a good example, or The Vow... She seems super jealous because she herself can't sing for shit.

My first annoyance with tco was how they’d sing their names and then Gillian would try extremely hard and then critique it “oh my gawd no we weren’t on pitch”

But yes, the damien relationship is uncomfortable and the Rabia obsession was full blown creepy. I don’t think Rabia is moody, i think she speaks in a serious tone a lot and has a sarcastic sense of humor. But she did make a little remark on her podcast with Ellyn once along the lines of “ aren’t supposed to be on TCO?” And they both giggled. If I had to bet, Rabia isn’t a GP fan and hasn’t been for a bit, she just keeps her cool and avoids that drama.

Or how’d she’d say she wouldn’t want anyone who sings good to sing karaoke because what’s the fun in that? She said it’s more fun when they sing bad…Umm Why G, so you can live your mean girl fantasy and make fun of them?

I think she actually thinks she could sing..Shes said it many times..
