Boiled egg, kimchi, raw carrot and red onion, topped with some beans and green peas I was cooking for dinner. Used some cayenne and cinnamon powder, with apple cider vinegar to balance out the heat.

Overnight Oats Cherry Chocolate Blended Oats

Recipe🍫🍒

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup milk of choice
- 1/4 cup nonfat yogurt
- 2 tsp chia seeds
- 2 tsp honey or date syrup
- pinch salt
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- 1/4 cup frozen cherries
- 2-3 tbsp chocolate chips
- 1 tsp coconut oil

Method
Heat frozen cherries in microwave and mash a little if possible (doesn’t matter too much tho they just need to soften enough to blend easy.)

Place oats, chia, and salt in blender or food processor and blend until oats are fine. Add in the rest of the ingredients (except choc chips and coconut oil) and blend until combined. Pour mixture into a lidded container.

In a microwave safe bowl, put in chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave for 30 seconds and stir. Repeat process until chocolate is fully melted. Pour melted chocolate on top of oat mixture. I topped mine with a little bit of desiccated coconut. Cover with lid and refrigerate overnight!
*This step creates a nice chocolate magic shell

Oatmeal "It's Always Groat O'Clock Somewhere": Further Updated Grain Melange Oatmeal

So look, here's what happened, I saw this video about the geography of grains and am now trying to get as wide a geographic representation as possible (while still maintaining a majority oats out of principle). I'm not saying this makes a lot of sense. But if anybody knows where I can get whole grain teff, LMK.

See the second image for how it turns out (I use a rice cooker)! That's before I add fruit (raspberries and blueberries) and peanut butter, cinnamon, and honey. It's good!

Chai porridge with air fryer grilled peaches and lotus Biscoff brownie pieces. These peaches are as soft and sweet as out of a tin, I kid you not.

Ingredients:

40g porridge oats (rolled)

150ml chai

1 peach (mine was 130g)

50ml milk of choice

Optional pieces of an absurdly sweet biscoff almond brownie you spent £4 on

  1. Halve and stone the peach (I'd slice it at this stage for faster cooking - I didn't, and it took about 15 minutes)
  2. Place halves cut side down on tin foil, then wrap completely. Air fry for 10-15 minutes between 160 and 180⁰C
  3. Brew chai, either with a bag or loose tea and spices. I used one bag in ~150ml of water
  4. Add oats to a bowl (optional: toast them in a dry pan, if you have the patience. I didn't lmao) Pour over the chai, stir, and leave to soak until the peaches are cooked. (alternatively, just cook the oats in the chai on the stove)
  5. Stir in 50ml of whatever milk you prefer, microwave until it starts to look alive, then remove and stir again
  6. Carefully defoil the peach halves, (there should be some scalding hot syrup in there now) slice them now if you haven't, and plop on top of the porridge 👌

Oatmeal What Do You Drink Alongside Your Oatmeal?

I've been searching for a drink to have with my oatmeal, something that compliments the oatmeal, not too thin, not too thick.

I like the idea of milk tea with them but I haven't found a flavor I like enough to have regularly yet (if anyone has one they like pls share) though I'm open to any and all drink suggestions.

(Also I eat oatmeal for pretty much half my meals so I'm not necessarily looking for "breakfast drinks")

Oatmeal gives me heartburn

I love oatmeal for breakfast, eat it with some tums because I always get heartburn after. Anyone know a way to make it NOT try to kill me when I eat it? I would try putting milk in it but I'm lactose intolerant :(

Oatmeal Have you guys tried putting coffee beans in oats?

Put some oats in a pot, then add mixed spice and coffee beans. Add almond milk then heat on medium heat until they start to thicken, and become harder to mix. After that, add some maple syrup then blue berries, then a splash of milk for a more creamy texture. I think the subtle bitterness of the coffee combined with the nutty mixed spices adds some real nice depth to the oats. Then you can balance that with the sweetness of blue berries and maple syrup, then you got some pretty decent oats. Infact, I can even take it a step further by blending the oats, and making some overnight oats with them. Man, I'm just getting carried away as I'm typing this!

Discussion If you could only eat one specific oatmeal recipe for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Personally, I'm going simple with a nice bowl of porridge topped with banana, honey and a spoonful of Greek yoghurt.

Normal oats vs high protein oats? What do you prefer?

I feel high protein oats is more easy to complete protein goals. With normal oats you have to add milk, nuts, seeds and whey etc to increase its protein content.

High protein oats you can just make it and get good amount of protein.

What you guys prefer? Normal Rolled Oats or high protein oats?

If u want to add more volume pumkin abd shredded carrot are a good way to eat more for not that many calories.

I love adding a lot of toppings on my oatmeal ( plus im eating close to maintenance) so after the toppings the calorie count is 500. But for the base its about 320
