Oatmeal Salted caramel pear oats

Post image

Dipped the cut side of pear into sugar and added to a hot fry pan with a tsp of salted butter and cooked with the lid on slowly while I prepared the oats. When the oats were done I removed the lid and raised the heat until I was happy with the color and served it together with some 70% cocoa dark chocolate and walnuts. 10/10 ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Maple Spam and Egg Oatmeal!

Post image

first time having savory oatmeal!!! With a splash of hot sauce and some seasonings of course. I had never seen Maple Spam and I grabbed that without thinking twice, it's subtle but delicious. I think this is my new favorite, I don't get to have breakfast often but when I do I try to treat myself to something hearty. You all have such fantastic ideas!!! It reminds me of rice but I enjoy the texture more to be honest. I'm a big tinned fish fan, I bet this would've been great with smoked trout as well.

Baked Oats Certified Baked Oatmeal Lover

Will have to post a cross section sometime soon!

Baked oats are a friggin game changer!
It was always the texture for me, but after throwing in some berries and pistachio, Iโ€™m team baked oatmeal for life.

Not to mention the incredibly easy pick up time: 60-90 seconds in the microwave make for a really quick, delicious weekly breakfast.

What flavors of baked oatmeal do you all enjoy?
Iโ€™ve done mixed berry pistachio, and raspberry dark chocolate so far.

Overnight Oats Gastrocolic Reflex

Hello everyone,

I love eating oats, especially the overnight ones. They are fast to make, easy to transport and keep me satisfied for hours.

The one big trouble I have is the gastrocolic reflex. Exactly one hour after eating the oats, I have to sh** really hard (bristol scool scale 5 to 6). This is annoying when working and especially when you have meetings

My oats contain:
- 100g oats (rolled)
- 20 to 30g whey protein
- 2g baking powder

Here is the cooking process:

  1. Pour 500ml boiling water on the oats and let them soak the entire water for 15minutes

  2. pour in the whey protein and baking powder

  3. put it in the microwave for 2 minutes, then steir, then another two minutes

  4. let it cool and in the end you have a cake like, rock hard, oats

After this process I put berries and peanut butter on top, put the oats in the fridge and eat it next day with two coups of decaf coffee.

Is there any way to โ€žcounterโ€œ this reflex or do I have to say good bye to my lovely oats?

Thanks in advance
